As just about everyone here'll know, I'm one step short of clueless when it comes to pre-Zero Hour stuff. Thirteen years in-continuity between the (pre-Crisis, inspired by Superboy on E-1) founding and the comics published around Crisistime seems a little excessive though. So can I get a check on this, both for that and for the details? - http://www.legionclubhouse.com/wiki/index.php?title=Timeline/Pre-Crisis

[Anyone who wants to contribute info to Legion Wiki will be welcomed BTW, not least since there's so much to fill out [Smile] ]

Seems reasonable to me. You might want to list your sources, as most (reliable) wiki articles do. This timeline is similar to one written by Paul Levitz for a Legion role-playing game, circa 1989.

One typo I noticed: Lightning Lad's name is misspelled in Year 10.

I didn't write it. I thought the "one step short of clueless when it comes to pre-Zero Hour stuff" was a clue for that...

Pre-1990, many assumed that 2 years in print equalled roughly one year of life, and this was codified in 5YL: founding was in 2973, and at the other end, the Magic Wars were 2989. Early v.4 actually moved quite slowly from late 2994 to mid 2995 (#s 1-36).

So if at founding, LSHers were around 14-ish, by the end of Levitz they'd be in their late 20s, which (other than code-names) fits. Also, Sun Boy's 18.5th birthday was in the very early 70s, so that fits the theory pretty well.

The basis of all timeline stuff was, of course, the fact that Legion leader elections were supposed to occur annually in-continuity. Sometimes they occurred annually from the reader's perspective as well, whereas other times it was four or five years in between elections.
