A round typically involved each voter ranking their Top 10, 15, 20, 25 Legionnaires, with #10 getting 5 points, #9 getting 7 points, and so on.
The results of Reboot Legion Idol had a few surprises - Kinetix, Monstress, Dreamer and Apparition all made the Top 12, while Cosmic Boy and Kid Quantum II were among the first eliminated, a big surprise for those following Future's recent Multiverse Survivor game.
Preboot Legion Idol was even more surprising - the Top 5 were, in order, the White Witch, Bouncing Boy, Brainiac 5, Chemical King and Shrinking Violet. Nightwind bagged 7th, Spider-Girl 11th, while several Adventure Era stalwarts like Lightning Lad, Ultra Boy, Sun Boy, Shadow Lass and Lightning Lass didn't even make the Top 20.
I know we've just had two games end, but it'll be interesting to compare the results, right?
I'd like to thank Future for the list from his excellent Survivor Game; we'll be using it (plus a few additions) for this game too.

Because of the immense size, I'm planning to make the first round a massive bloodbath. Each voter can vote for any number of Legionnaires on the list from 1 to 100. I could vote for just, say, Preboot Dream Girl; or I could just vote for the entire Glorithverse, as long as I vote for no more than 100 Legionnaires.
Only Legionnaires who get at least one vote will survive this round (I'm expecting we'll lose almost 1/3 of the list).
When the list gets down to about 100 Legionnaires, and we've had a lot of accumulated votes to break ties, we can use the normal ranking system to vote.
House Rules
1) Each round will last about 48 hours. 2) I'll vote at or near the start of every round to minimize bias on my part. 3) While I don't encourage changing of votes, I won't disallow them either. I'll only tally votes at the end of each round (to make it easier on myself!). I'll post on this thread the minute I start tallying to alert everyone; votes that come in after that will be ignored. 4) In case of errors in the results, I'll post a correction immediately. If anyone's vote was affected by the error, he or she will get a makeup vote next round - +15 points to give a Legionnaire of their choosing.
I'm opening this thread for discussion on the rules and on the list of Legionnaires. We've a long weekend ahead of us in the Philippines, so I'll start the actual game on November 1 or 2.

I have to say there is something odd about trying to differentiate in my head a lot of the Pre-boot characters from their Retroboot counterparts. Up until a certain point, they share pretty much the same character history. Even more true with the "two" Gates.

The young Protean who made the mistake of talking to Glorith volunteered to animate it. This "Soul of Antares" would hide itself from Glorith until the threat had passed, and, with the help of seven Proteans who had remained sentient for this purpose, would eventually restore the race's minds. The Proteans trusted their soul to Dr. & Mrs. Cullen, who adopted the pretense that he was their son, "James."
After staying with the Cullens for about a year, James decided that the newly-formed Legion of Super-Heroes would be a better place for him. Using one of his Protean relics, a time-stasis belt that incorporated the technology of the legendary Llorn race, he applied and was accepted as Kid Quantum. But soon his secret was discovered by Glorith, and one of the Proteans warned him of the danger. He and the Protean staged a fight on Mars, where Kid Quantum pretended his belt overloaded and disintegrated him. The Legion believed him dead, and he was mourned as the first Legionnaire ever to die in the line of duty. To prevent further such incidents, the Legion instituted a rule that would deny admission to anyone whose powers are based on outside devices.
The Proteans knew he wasn't dead...but where was he? One of the Proteans manoeuvred itself into a position to be adopted by the Legion, where he became Chameleon Boy's pet, Proty, and hoped to use the Legion to locate Kid Quantum. When Proty grew attached to the Legion and eventually sacrificed his life to revive Lightning Lad,another Protean, known as Proty II, tried the same thing. But neither Lightning Lad, who now had Proty I's mind, nor Proty II, who eventually found the demeaning position of "pet" intolerable even for this purpose, were able to locate him.
Finally, in 2986, the two hit upon a plan:they hired the bored, rich, R. J. Brande to take on the search. He did so eagerly. Brande disappeared from all sight until in early 2995, when Chameleon Boy, his son, decided to track him down. He found him on the far-off world of Yal, where it turned out Kid Quantum had been hiding himself with the aid of the local authorities for all these years. After defeating the Hunter, who tried to capture him for the Dominators, with the help of the other Proteans, and a brief stopover as captives of Leland McCauley IV, he and the Protean went back to Antares and returned sentience to their people. His ship was captured by the Khunds for a while, but he was rescued by several of the younger Legionnaires. The machine that gave the Proteans their sentience back also somehow imbued in him the powers once possessed by his belt. His sin atoned and mission fulfilled, he has left Antares to become a Legionnaire once more, serving with the youthful New Earth team.

Didn't do 100. I eliminated duplicates, except I kept the threeboot Colossal Boy because I liked the race of giants (created by Bizarro Brainiac) and Gim able to shrink to 6 feet high. I did eliminate Kid Quantum I and Thunder as I didn't like them.
Oh gee I have to number them now. IB, I am just going to number my top 25. The rest you can give one point each or go from the top down for the ones after 25.

Xben, the only Kid Quantums I see on the list are the SW6 and Postboot versions.

Thanks, Quis! Round 1 isn't starting yet, and I don't plan to have rankings for Round 1 yet either. You can change your vote if you want, though if you don't, I'll count this when I do the Round 1 tallies.

I was thinking about that as well, Xben. But discussions with others made me realize that not everyone accepts the "current" Legion as the original classic one. I'll keep them separate for now. I expect most of the duplicates will be gone early, anyway; especially since I plan for us to eliminate large numbers early on and slow down only when we're down to about 100 Legionnaires.

Hey IB and all,
Sorry for the confusion. I knew Kid Quantum wasn't on the Glorithverse list - I was wondering if he should be, since he was a Glorithverse character originally. I didn't notice he was on the SW6 list and I have no memory at all of him being in that group (even though I did read that run). And I hadn't read Reboot's bio carefully enough before I posted again. Anyway, it makes sense now. Sorry again.

Okay, I don't see Jacques at all (or Drura, FTM), and Karate Kid & Dream Girl aren't Legionnaires, just Projectra's servants.
OTOH, there are cameos of Computo, Spark [on a Moy page, shockingly ], Umbra, Andromeda (who may not be a Legionnaire) and two prominent shots - one from each artist - of a black girl with white hair in a black corset that I don't recognise.

Hey IB,
Just a thought. I just made my list of 100 Legionnaires in prep for the first round, and thought it seemed like a very large list. Not that everyone will vote for that many, perhaps, but I wonder if you might still get a larger second round than you want? I wonder if you might want to limit the initial nominations further, maybe just to 50 or so? Totally up to you - I'll be happy either way.

To limit the list though, let's do this - we'll raise the requirements for making it to Round 2. Instead of at least one vote, Legionnaires need 2 votes to make it in.

ROUND 1 RULES
Vote for any number of Legionnaires on the list, minimum of 1, maximum of 100.
No ranking needed for Round 1.
Any Legionnaire with AT LEAST 2 VOTES will make it to Round 2.
Round ends early morning, US Pacific time, November 4, Friday.
*Votes posted by Quislet, Esq., KryptonKid and Set will still be counted, although the ranking will be ignored. Sorry guys! At least you can use the rankings for future rounds

I omitted Retroboot XS since I don't remember her being confirmed as a Legion member, unlike Gates. At the end of Legion of 3 Worlds, she said she'd stay, but she never actually said she'd join. If you feel strongly about it though, I don't think there's any harm in adding one more Legionnaire to the list.

It did seem like she had, since I remember her appearing alongside the other Legionnaires during the New Krypton saga, when they sent Brainy back in time... But when the new series started she wasn't there.
And the dialogue between her and Lydda, when Lydda offered her a spot at the Academy, made it seem like she hadn't joined.
I really don't know, though. Come to think of it, I included Inferno (Sandy), so I might as well be fair and include XS under the Retroboot list.

ROUND 2 RULES
Let's trim down the list a bit more - I'm aiming to finish with about 100 Legionnaires.
This time, vote only for your Top 50. You may vote for less than 50, if you wish.
No ranking needed for Round 1.
Any Legionnaire with AT LEAST 4 VOTES will make it to Round 3. If we end up with less than 100 Legionnaires, I'll use accumulated votes from Round 1 to break the ties. If we have more, no problem!
Round ends early morning, US Pacific time, November 6, Sunday.
*If I did the math right - 11 voters * 50 votes = 550. 550/4 = 137.50, so making 4 the minimum for surviving to the next round sounds good.
House Rules
1) Each round will last about 48 hours, and will end early morning PST. 2) I'll vote at or near the start of every round to eliminate bias on my part. 3) While I don't encourage changing of votes, I won't disallow them either. I'll only tally votes at the end of each round (to make it easier on myself!). I'll post on this thread the minute I start tallying to alert everyone; votes that come in after that will be ignored. 4) In case of errors in the results, I'll post a correction immediately. If anyone's vote was affected by the error, and that poster wasn't able to correct the error in time, he or she will get a makeup vote next round - +15 points to give a Legionnaire of their choosing. 5. Ties will be broken by looking at the accumulated votes Legionnaires earned in previous rounds. 6. Voting rules may change every round, so read carefully before posting!

The ranking is purposely skewed to give many more points to the Top 10 because these are usually the most special Legionnaires for a given voter.
We'll eliminate 24 Legionnaires (almost the size of a full Legion team) to get down to 80 Legionnaires.
House Rules
1) Each round will last about 48 hours, and will end early morning PST. 2) I'll vote at or near the start of every round to eliminate bias on my part. 3) While I don't encourage changing of votes, I won't disallow them either. I'll only tally votes at the end of each round (to make it easier on myself!). I'll post on this thread the minute I start tallying to alert everyone; votes that come in after that will be ignored. 4) In case of errors in the results, I'll post a correction immediately. If anyone's vote was affected by the error, and that poster wasn't able to correct the error in time, he or she will get a makeup vote next round - +15 points to give a Legionnaire of their choosing. 5. Ties will be broken by looking at the accumulated votes Legionnaires earned in previous rounds. 6. Voting rules may change every round, so read carefully before posting!

Wow, this was challenging, especially ranking them. Picking the top 12 came pretty easily, but ranking them was hard and probably only reflective of the moment.

I find it interesting that a lot of us have such eclectic lists. Of the 4 votes so far, all have a healthy mix of Legionnaires from various realities.
Mine's quite skewed, though, since the Postboot Legion was my Legion during my formative years.

Gosh. I could have sworn "Ferro" was a Postboot invention but I just checked and you're right. So much for my memory. Haha
As for "M'Onel". The printing in the comics themselves is all capitals so it's hard to know from them what the proper capitalization should be. Or was there an in-comic reference that revealed it that I'm forgetting?
I notice Wikipedia uses a capital "O" too but I'm wondering if they made a mistake. His name is meant to be Martian for "He who wanders" but all the Martian words I can think of have a lower case letter after the apostrophe (e.g. J'onn J'onzz).
And so ends the most pedantic post I've ever written. Haha

That is actually a very good point about M'Onel's codename, Blacula. I went and checked Legion of Super-heroes Secret Files #1 to be sure, and it is indeed M'Onel. Good catch though.

This list is very much an 'at the moment' one as well. It is surprising to compare this list to ones like it years ago - my tastes have changed and its surprising how many of my old favorites haven't transitioned into recent times.

The points reset per round, although accumulated votes from previous rounds are useful because they help break ties. This is so the top scorers don't develop insurmountable leads.

Like Set, my list leans towards the Legion ladies
Man. Most of my Top 5 (Kinetix, Gates, Postboot Brainy, Postboot Garth, Postboot Imra and XS) are doing pretty well, but a lot of my Top 12 (Shikari, Kid Q II, Postboot Cham, Postboot Tinya and Umbra) aren't. I'm torn between voting strategically, and just voting for my faves.

Some of these are surprising. Bouncing Boy, Spider-Girl and Blok both were among the top vote-getters in Rounds 1 and 2, and Chuck got 91 points last round.

Sneak peek - here are the plans I have in mind for the next few rounds.
Round 6: Top 40 to Top 25
All voters get 500 points to distribute however they wish. Top 15 vote getters advance to the Top 25.
Round 7: Second Chance
Legionnaires eliminated in Rounds 3-6 are eligible.
We have 89 Legionnaires at the start of this round. Voters pick (no ranking) anywhere from 10 to 50 to advance. Top 10 make it to the Top 25.
Round 8: Top 25 to Top 12.
The usual mechanics take place - rank the Legionnaires. Top 12 advance.
Round 9: Final Wild Card
We vote for the 13 Legionnaires we just lost. Each voter must vote YES or NO for each of the 13.
Legionnaires who get a 75% vote (3/4 of voters say YES) advance to the next round, joining the Top 12 in the previous round.
Round 10 to end
Normal voting until we get our Multiverse Legion Idol! We lose 2-3 Legionnaires per round, depending on how many we have after Round 9. Last round takes place when we have our Top 3.
Not sure if I'll do something special for the last round, though. I probably will.

Round FIVE Results
We're eliminating 20 Legionnaires this round, and the results were VERY close.
Lucky Supergirl and Luornu - saved from elimination by a single point! Although Luornu's cumulative votes would have still narrowly saved her over Live Wire - she has 230 and he has 227.

I'll start the new round in a bit - I'm just mulling over the voting mechanics
I lost several - Live Wire (same - if I'd ranked him even one place higher, he'd still be here); Umbra, Apparition, Kid Quantum II, Chameleon, Dreamer, Wildfire and Violet (whom I didn't vote for, but...).
Worse for me is that Umbra, Apparition and Live Wire were the last three to go home.

I lost my 5, 6, 7, 9, 12 and 14 votes! I thought anyone in a top 5 vote position would be a definite safe bet for the next round but I now realise we're at the stage of the game where a lone voter can't save more than 2 or 3 characters.
I was especially surprised to lose Adventure Lyle and the Andromedas because they had seemed to be doing quite well.

I'm thinking hard about the voting mechanics in the coming rounds. I know I have a lot of format changes planned, but I'm thinking which one will give us the least amount of ties. I'd rather not have to resort to accumulated votes to break said ties.
PS, I know I said I'd disallow votes coming in after I started tallying, but I'd just started when Blacula posted so I saw no reason to not be lenient. We do take our games seriously, but in the end they're just games - more fun for everyone Posted by Invisible Brainiac on :

ROUND SIX RESULTS
Several surprises abound as some popular Legionnaires didn't get enough love, while some less popular ones got plenty.
As a surprise bonus, I've decided to give these 15 Legionnaires a boost for Round 8 - they'll start that round with a 15% bonus of their accumulated votes. It's a sort of reward for them making it cleanly into the Top 25 without any second chances.
Edit: After crunching some numbers, I may lower the bonus for the Top 15. I'm trying to do some math and arrive at a number that'll give the Top 15 a decent boost without making it insurmountable. Currently, the Top 2 in accumulated votes are so far ahead that too large a boost will make it impossible to eliminate them in Round 8.
Although don't worry, this boost will only be for Round 8. Come Round 10 and beyond, it won't apply anymore.
We bid farewell to a lot of top vote-getters: Preboot AND Postboot Saturn Girl; Gates; Postboot Invisible Kid; XS; Preboot Wildfire; Laurel Gand; Preboot Phantom Girl; Preboot Shadow Lass.

ROUND SEVEN RULES - The Road to the Top 25
Let's finish our Top 25!
For this round, everyone gets 500 points to distribute in ANY WAY they wish. As long as the points add up to 500, it's good!
Now, though, voting is open to all Legionnaires eliminated in Rounds 3 to 6.
The Top 10 Vote getters join our Top 15 in the Top 25 - although the Top 10 here won't have the benefit of bonus points at the start of Round 8.
Round ends early morning, US Pacific time, November 16, Wednesday.
House Rules
1) Each round will last about 48 hours, and will end early morning PST. 2) I'll vote at or near the start of every round to eliminate bias on my part. 3) I won't disallow changing of votes. That was really tough. I had to just decide to put all my eggs in one or two baskets, and give up a lot of characters that I like way better than the ones who made it to the top 15.

Honest Injun, after starting Round Six I had planned to give some sort of "reward" to the Top 15. But since some of us had already cast their votes, I decided to announce it at the close of the round instead I thought knowledge of the bonus might affect how some of us would vote.
That's also why I made sure not to alter my vote at all, and why I posted the voting format for the next few rounds a while back.
I am concerned about the size of the bonus. I think 15% may be too much. Hmm... I'll run some calcs when I have more time

I am sorely tempted to tinker with my votes this round. As of now, I'm ending up with a lot of "wasted" votes again. But I promised I wouldn't, so I'll just be sitting on the edge of my seat for the next 15 hours or so.

Well, I'm glad that this game is compelling enough to entice you to sign in. You couldn't have come at a more interesting time, either - your vote totally turned the tide of the last round, just like it did in Multiverse Legion Survivor when it looked like Gates would go home!

In one of the closest rounds yet, we emerge with the last 40% of our Top 25!
22 Legionnaires got votes this round, with the following totals:
We have a tie for 10th, so accumulated votes come into play. Live Wire has 227 to Magno's 218, so Garth takes the final spot!
That was really close, though, and all the Legionnaires who got points this round are lucky to have such devoted fans.
EDE is also the only voter who's been playing this game who hasn't voted in the last couple rounds. Right now I'm expecting an even dozen votes per round.

YOUR TOP 25 - maybe I should get Ryan Seacrest to announce?
In what I believe is an inversion of trends on Legion World, only 11/25 are female. Only 6/15 of the Top 15 are female, as well.
14/25 are Postboot, with only 7/25 Preboot. 7/25 are unique Legionnaires (I'm counting Gates and Tyroc among them; the other 5 are Kinetix, Monstress, Shikari, Superboy and Dragonmage).
There are only 7 duplicates total on the list: 3 Gim Allons, 2 Imra Ardeens, and 2 Tasmia Mallors.
Here are the bonus points the Top 15 will start with. After some thinking, I've given them 15% of accumulated votes. I'd originally intended to set a cap at 100 or 120, but only two Legionnaires ended up with scores over 100 anyway.
These points will be added to their votes for this round.
I'll skew the point system a bit to give the Lower 10 a sporting chance at playing catchup!

I'm actually also pleasantly surprised by how much I like this Top 25. There are only 2 or 3 whom I'd like to see go home, and even then not that much.
I feel I should give some sort of bonus to the Top 12 who made it clean through, as well. Since we're in the final stages, I'll probably just give them a simple +50 for next round. Any comments on that? It's a nice boost, but not terribly so - look at Monstress, who got a humongous boost last round but still failed to enter our Top 12!
All is not lost for the other 13, though, because next card is our final wild card round of the game...

Just some rambling...
There are actually very few Postboot Legionnaires who wouldn't get a YES vote from me this round. Since I grew up with the Postboot, I have a soft spot for all of them. Maybe the only ones I wouldn't give a pass to are Kid Quantum I (who was meant to be a jerk) and Inferno (cause she's a killer).
My picks:
YESes
Andromeda
Love this version of Laurel. Powerful, confident, humble. One of the few instances where I prefer a non-Postboot version; I liked the growth of Postboot Laurel but wish she'd come back to the Legion after the Mordru battle. The nun phase was interesting but overdrawn.
Tyroc
Love how Paul Levitz revived this forgotten Legionnaire. The Glorithverse Tyroc got a lot of respect from me, and the current one is also fulfilling his potential. I wish Kinetix could get a similar second chance under Levitz!
Dream Girl
Beauty + brains, classic combination. Love how her vampy personality was partly her real self, partly a cover to make people underestimate her.
Postbooters:
Cosmic Boy and Saturn Girl
Have high respect for them as leaders in the Postboot. They had their bad phases (Team 20 storyline, anyone?) but as a former student leader I can empathize with the stress and tough decisions.
Monstress
Legion Lost made me a big fan. Was touched by her origin and cried when she died - one of the few times a comic ever made me cry. I don't think most people appreciate how much inner strength Monstress had, to not just maintain a cheerful facade after her awful past, but to also actively care for others.
Lost was great - I came out of it liking every Lost Legionnaire a LOT more, and it catapulted several (Monstress, Wildfire, Shikari, Umbra, Chameleon, Saturn Girl) into my Top 12 faves of all time. Only Live Wire, Brainiac 5, Kid Quantum II and arguably Apparition were already IN my Top 12 before that. Okay, maybe Top 14 - Kinetix, Gates, XS and Violet are all up there too and I have a hard time ranking them properly.
M'Onel and Spark
These two aren't personal faves, but I loved Spark being the voice of reason and loyal sister to Live Wire. Since he's a fave, I'm partial to his sis. As for M'Onel, I found him a bit boring in comparison to the others, but loved his Legion Worlds spotlight.
Leviathan
The most interesting version of Gim, for me. I didn't personally like his characterization and always felt he picked on Gates and Star Boy too much; but at least he wasn't boring.
NOs
Shadow Lass
Prefer Umbra A LOT. Preboot Shady I found very emotional (although she had self-control, which I admire). Didn't like her cattiness (with Phantom Girl) towards several others. Hate the current Retroboot version, who seems a bit off her gourd regarding Mon-El and Earth-man.
Colossal Boy and SW6 Leviathan
Sorry, but I've always found Gim a bit boring
Superboy
He's likable and powerful, but I just find him overexposed.

Personal Faves
Kinetix
My #1 all-time fave. Loved the look; loved the powers (if I had to pick ONE power, it'd also be telekinesis); and fell in love with her after reading her origin. I can empathize with the feelings of being a useless kid, and wanting desperately to self-actualize and "perfect" oneself. I wish she'd been able to fulfill her potential, though. She didn't have as many "moments" as she could have.
Gates
My #2 all-time fave! Love the powers, the look, the snappy sarcasm. Underneath all that he has a heart of gold, though - kinda like Oscar the Grouch. Love that they resurrected him from limbo - he's too great a character to not use!
Brainiac 5
My #3 all-time fave, which makes me really happy. I used to prefer Lyle, but Brainy grew on me under DNA. Fantastic forcefield aside, love how he's intelligent and confident without being too arrogant; and his compassionate side is a big plus.
Live Wire
Haven't really ranked em all yet, but Garth just might be my #4 (contending with Apparition and XS). He grew a lot during the Postboot and ended his tenure as a leader and a hero.
Shikari
I loved her personality, and her powers were always intriguing. Always good to know where you have to go right?
Umbra
She's a bit too cold for my taste - I was hoping they'd have a scene with her apologizing to Monstress in Lost. Still, the latter issues showed she cared - she took time to say sorry to Cham and Jaz, and when Wildfire was in trouble she stood up for him. Awesome look and powers, too.
Triad
She used to be higher up on my list; I wonder why she fell? I loved her origin story and her personality. She was also good under DNA. Maybe it wasn't so much falling out of love with her, as the others just captured my imagination more.
Dragonmage
I actually preferred the personality of his Postboot counterpart, since the Preboot one seemed a bit bland to me. But being Asian (and Chinese!) like him, I'm glad to see more Asian characters in the Legion. Also liked his determined personality.
Karate Kid
Preboot Val was a bit hotheaded at times, but he had his moments. He's not a particular fave, but I wouldn't mind him winning.
Saturn Girl
I prefer the Postboot counterpart, who seemed more accountable for her actions. But Adventure Imra is one of my faves from the Adventure Era, since she was one of the first strong women in comics.
Timber Wolf
He's okay, though didn't really stick out as a fave for me.

Personally, I liked Shikari's earnestness. Kind of a breath of fresh air in those dark times.
Ones I personally feel are a bit overrated are Postboot Triad and Invisible Kid. I'm ok with them both, and I see how people can relate to them being relatively weak yet still strong contributors to the team, but... I don't feel they're THAT great.

ROUND TEN RULES!
Back to normal voting mechanics for this round! We also won't have any more bring-back rounds, since we're close to the end of the game.
Since only one Legionnaire made it back last round, there's not much point in giving bonus points to the original Top 12. So everyone starts with a clean slate this round.
Round ends early morning, US Pacific time, November 22, Tuesday.
House Rules
1) Each round will last about 48 hours, and will end early morning PST. 2) I'll vote at or near the start of every round to eliminate bias on my part. 3) I won't disallow changing of votes. I'll post on this thread the minute I start tallying to alert everyone; votes (or vote changes) that come in after that will be ignored. 4) In case of errors in the results, I'll post a correction immediately. If anyone's vote was affected by the error, and that poster wasn't able to correct the error in time, he or she will get a makeup vote next round - +15 points to give a Legionnaire of their choosing. 5. Ties will be broken by looking at the accumulated votes Legionnaires earned in previous rounds. 6. Voting rules may change every round, so read carefully before posting! 7. Points also reset per round, giving each Legionnaire a clean slate. But every vote is important because accumulated votes from previous rounds are used to break ties. You never know when such a vote can save one of your favorites!

Another amazing fact - fully half our list is made of Legionnaires who've returned to the game after being eliminated. Garth, Lyle, Gates, Tyroc and Imra , who is doing phenomenally well.
The way points are structured, being #1 or 2 on anyone's list is a major boost.

ROUND THIRTEEN RESULTS
After another round of close voting (and some surprises, like the return of two voters - hi guys!), we have our Top 3!
We bid farewell to both and , two unique Postbooters who are fondly remembered, if the support they received during the game is a good indication. They were certainly DIFFERENT, that's for sure.
This round will end sometime on November 30, Wednesday, early morning PST.
Since it's the final, final round, it'd probably be a good idea if none of us change votes during the game

Gotta say I'm pleasantly surprised - and very happy - that Kinetix made it this far. I knew she'd make it pretty far, considering that 8/11 voters picked her in Round 1, but I did not dare hope she'd get Top 3!

I checked Future's excellent Multiverse Survivor game, and Val finished int he #85-100 bracket.
In my old Preboot Legion Idol game, he was #25.
And IIRC he just managed to sneak into the final team on Legion Hurt and Heal.

Multiverse Legion Idol comes to an end!
A whopping 19 voters signed in this round, far more than we've ever had before. I think the previous record was 12.
Watching the votes come in this round was really exciting. On Day 1, Kinetix and Karate Kid were neck and neck - the 1st 6 votes had them tied 3-3.
The next 7 voters gave Imra some love, giving us Val 5, Zoe 5, Imra 3.
And then, 6 more votes came in last minute - and the love was all for the ladies!
Our final tally:
Karate Kid - 5 Saturn Girl - 6
and your new Legion Idol:
Kinetix - 8!
On a side note, runner-up Saturn Girl wins the award for most accumulated points - a whopping 2,520. Saturn Girl was the only Legionnaire to collect more than 2,000 points over the course of the game.
A comparison of the Top 5 here to the Top 5 in Future's excellent Survivor game here:
Gates won the game;
Shikari finished in the bracket from #19-25;
Kinetix finished in the bracket from #55-70;
Karate Kid finished in the bracket from #85-100;
and Saturn Girl finished in the bracket from #211-236.
Just goes to show that voting for favorites instead of your most hated really changes the game...

A smaller number of you managed to vote every round, but I'm a bit too lazy right now to go back and check the thread to see which ones (I think it was only Blacula, LWL, Future, Xben, Set and Reboot who did vote every round, though).
I'd especially like to thank Reboot and Blacula for providing suggestions and feedback throughout the game; Lard Lad, Dave Hackett, Xben, Quislet Esq. and EDE also have me a few suggestions to keep in mind.
I really had a lot of fun, and was surprised at several points throughout the game by how the results turned out in each round. I also appreciate all the feedback that I can use to make next game better.
