I tried to think of ANYTHING else when "Bounty" showed up. Including Nancy Wilson's commercials.
"The quicker ripper-uppers" ... the Bierbaums. Arrrrgh! And that stupidity on their part applies, along with Dawnstar, to Garth, Dirk, Tellus, Blok, Shvaughn Erin, Drake, the whole misbegotten Batch SW6, and, o'course, Mysa.
"White Witch" worked. It was, by the way, only half accurate. She was white, elegantly so, and entirely benevolent, and that double meaning was perfect. What she did had little to do with Wicca -- but "witch" was probably the best compact term they could find, given the presumed audience. "Sorceress" or "Adept" would have been better, but less understood.
(I keep thinking of how "Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone" had to be altered, sadly, to "... Sorcerer's Stone" in North America, due to the lack of any current touch of the classics of mythology. Poor kids, they don't know what they're missing!)
