Was this a great jumping issue or what?

The different art teams. The journalist view of Legion World! The Kwai, support staff, intros for all the characters, the members hanging out in different settings.

This was my favorite issue of all volume 5 or any DnA stuff. Darn that was good. frown

Terrible portrait of Dreamy...

Also, it shouldn't be called volume 5 since it was only "The Legion." The upcoming new series "The Legion of Superheroes" will be V5.

Actually, to be fair, yes, there were a lot of cool things shown in that issue, there were just a lot of art problems IMO.

Yikes. I needed laser eye surgery after looking at that ghastly Tony Harris computery art. frown

Truly awful stuff.

I really hated the sudden art shifts we got at times. Generally most of TnT's work on the Legion covers and here for the Legion portraits are hit or miss for me...many in this issues missed like Dreamer, Sensor, and the founders + Jaz. I did like their Ferro, Timber Wolf, & Wildfire...and found a lot of the poses really fun...just that the computer colors got a little distracting (Triad & Gear specifically).

I liked how it told one big story, but missed having small text pages or at least more information with the character profiles to throw in some backstory. It didn't really offer anything new except art for people who concurrently read the series, in my opinion. I'm still glad I bought it...it was fun seeing the team in more relaxed settings for a change of pace.

2004? Don't you mean 3003? smile

And I'm not fond of TnT's stuff, and said so @ the time. Like Kirk's stuff tho.

My views are my own and do not reflect those of everyone else... and I wouldn't have it any other way.

Cobalt, Reboot & iB present 21st Century Legion: Earth War .

TnT had their fans, but they also had their critics. I know Tom took a "we're doing our best" attitude about it all. My point was that they had done such amazing work before Legion. Why did their standards seem to drop once they got the gig?
