Oh, nighty, hurry up....*just kidding* but I love those icons...so fantastic and I wish that DC Message Board has someone who is better in creativity...wouldn't it be neat to use Silver Swan as "screaming" or Batman's "intimidating look" etc...I wish Rob from DCMB to follow up on your examples! Nice job! I hope I can use Dreamer's "look - I am forecasting the spoiler so *wink*" to use as a spoiler. Light Lass's "light up or chill out - then giggling effect". you can try "triad to split three heads - one with halo, one with horns, and one with neutral". Just an idea. laugh wink

I do not see where these pictures are coming from. I see those "instant graemlins" and some more pictures with radial buttons next to them but do not know how to use them or see the dawnstar one. Do we make them ourselves like jpegs or something?

I'm so sad because I want to play too, sniff sniff.

Hmmm...nice ideas.

As far as being able to use the rest, right now I don't want to add any more images to the "Insant Graemlins" box, because it'll add to the load time of the reply pages. There are ways around it, but until then if you want a Legionnaire that's not listed then all you have to do is click on the "IMAGE" button in the "Insant UBB Code" box.
Then type out "http://www.legionworld.net/ubb/graemlins/[Your chosen Legionnaire's name using caps for the first letter of each word and no spaces].gif", example: KarateKid or PrincessProjectra in the box provided. Voila! The image is then imbedded into your post.

I think the Legion Smileys are a great invention. Of course, my favs are Tellus and Quislet. Wildfire is pretty cool too.

Is there any chance that we can get them added to the instant gremlins and icons? If no where else, they'd certainly look good in the Lightle section of Legion World.

Hmmm, come to think of it ... is there a Sensor Girl Smiley yet? If so, I haven't had the pleasure yet. Maybe she could create a Projecra illusion, or vise versa.

Wow! Does Nightcrawler have the Miracle Machine in his possession, or what?

Those are GREAT!

I'll have to tell Marianne that she has a Mentalla smiley now!

Thank you, o wizard of a million visages!

You never cease to impress me.

Steve

Also, superboymddjr, I have done some general comic character smilies. I had posted them at Rob's Boards and I think I'll repost them here, in case any one wants to use them. They are at my personal webspace, not on this site though.

Okay. Here's my feeble attempt at comic book hero smilies. Granted, some still need work, but I couldn't wait any longer...

  • [Linked Image] - standard smilin. happiness, the whole bit.
  • [Linked Image] - standard upsetness. sad or lonely.
  • [Linked Image] - embarassed, proven wrong, guilty.
  • [Linked Image] - real happy or proud
  • [Linked Image] - just kidding around
  • [Linked Image] - "nyah hah!"

  • [Linked Image] - "whatever, bro" "... yuh huh..."
  • [Linked Image] - very angry. "grr..." "you sunnuva...."
  • [Linked Image] - shocked! "WHAAAT?!?"
  • [Linked Image] - confused, lost "...guh?"
  • [Linked Image] - extreme frustration. "AAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!"

Don't be surprised if I change some of these down the road...

  • [Linked Image] - "DAMN, baby!" "hummina hummina!"
  • [Linked Image] - depression, cant believe it, "no no no..."
  • [Linked Image] - "oh reeeeeally?"
  • [Linked Image] - "...zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz..."
  • [Linked Image] - indecisiveness, unsure. "i guess so."

They're all great as usual Gary. Just too bad you couldn't have this:

[*] [Linked Image] - very angry. "grr..." "you sunnuva...."

actually having him turn from Banner into the Hulk. But that would probably be too big a smilie.

And, lastly...

  • [Linked Image] - innocent, angel. "who, me?"
  • [Linked Image] - "is this guy for real?" "suuuuuure" "um.... uh huh ...."
  • [Linked Image] - "Moo hoo hwah hwah!!!"
  • [Linked Image] - laughing out loud. "HAAAHAHAHAHAHA!!"
  • [Linked Image] - the Thunder-Grumbler!

Thanks, Scott.

Yeah, I was trying to keep the sizes down on the emoticons (the ones for emotions). With the standard ones, I don't care if they exceed 1KB or not.

I originally posted these at Rob's on June 12th.

I thought some of them looked familiar.

BTW, I haven't forgotten our project for smilies. Just been extremely busy and every time I go to work on it, the damn thing stumps me again.

If you're looking for more work, how about a swearing smiley? Maybe Brin of Jo yelling "Sprock that!"

I LOVE the graemlins & icons! Thanks for taking the time and effort to put them together for us.

Actually, it may be worth mentioning that these are almost solely why I am here. Honest! I heard about this site on a mailing list and thought I'd give it a quick look see even though I am not much of a message board person. Hey, I'm lazy. Generally I have preferred mailing lists since I like my messages to come to me rather than me having to go to them

But one look at the site, and the icons, and I instantly knew this was a community with a heart!

Of course, if you are looking for extra work, how about some sort of an emoticon that says roughly

<homer> Mmmmmmm.... Colleeeen Doraaaan ....::slobber::  </homer>

smile

Hee hee....you know, Dreamer can no longer sleep anymore. However I am hoping that someday Dreamer will find a way to finally sleep or else the Legion will ask her to do a 24-hour mission duty. ewwww....
