Could you identify the comic that picture came from? Its either from "The Copycat Inventor", Disney Comics circa 1965 (not released in the US if I recall) or from "Ting-A-Ling Trouble" printed in Wonderful World of Disney May of 1966, the month and year I was born.

If BCM doesn't come up with it I have the perfect 'Y' entry. I would have waited by I wanted to get Xerxes in for 'X'.

Heh, it would've taken me ages to remember the name of Mozenrath's familiar! I think sb was too hasty in calling me an expert on Disney! "Y" ... hmmm ... was the featherduster in "Beauty and the Beast" named "Yvette" or "Babette"?

Wasn't there a Yvette Guilbert in The Great Mouse Detective? Or was she just a French singer used in the movie?

Yen Sid was the name given to the Sorcerer from "Fantasia" to honor Walt Disney, years after the film was released. Yen Sid is Disney backwards. Yensid Retlaw (Walter Disney) was a psuedonym used by Walt Diseny for a writing credit in Lt. Robin Crusoe (That one I looked up). And another Y we forgot. Well, maybe I'll save it for later when we need another.

Been doing some web searches to make sure my info was right ... The music-hall number in "The Great Mouse Detective" was performed by Melissa Manchester. I don't remember any other female solos in that movie, or any singing in French. "Yen Sid" is very good, very obscure!
