Invisible Kid knocks Val out for the first, with Triad leading the femme fatales. Scoring this round sadly didn't help several of the lowest ranked, including our leaving Legionnaires...Timber Wolf and Thunder!

ROUND 4
LOCATION: Underground tunnels of Tharn
OBJECTIVE: A giant ice sculpture has been erected in the shape of the Legion logo. The Legionnaires, still without their powers and now without the aid of a transuit, all must place a hand or two on the freezing ice sculpture. All Legionnaires must keep at least one hand in-contact with the painfully cold object for as long as they can. To make matters worse, the intense heat from outside is causing the statue to slowly melt and become increasingly moist and slick. Should they let go or their touch on the statue slip for even a moment, they're out!

The Female Contenders: Saturn Girl, Apparition, Triad, Spark, Kinetix, Violet, Umbra, Sensor, Kid Quantum II, Shikari, and Dreamer.
The Male Contenders: Cosmic Boy, Live Wire, Invisible Kid, Chameleon, Brainiac 5, Star Boy, Gates, Ultra Boy, M'Onel, Karate Kid, and Gear.

Also, Cham isn't too happy with Spark's new fling! The tension from his complaining during the mission causes a verbal spat between him and one of the Legion femmes...and one of the guys is about ready to punch his lights out! Pick two numbers, one to select the femme and the other the male, so we can find out who is getting on Reep's bad side!

So, rank the Legion gals and then the Legion guys from who you think can withstand touching the bitter cold the longest to who won't last long at all! Round 4 will end on Sunday, September 19th.

1) Umbra (just because of sheer bloody mindedness, but also because of her training)

3) Shikari (I just think she's less likely to feel the cold than the 'human' girls)

4) Ultra Boy (both Jo and M'on get to be high up for being the muscle boys and probably having the stamina even without powers)

10) Braniac 5 (he just doesn't have the strength)
11) Gates (he's a bug. He'd either die or go into hibernation. Neither is really going to help him in this event. )

5. Violet (another strong-willed, though underestimated gal)

OBJECTIVE: Whip out your dupli-writing styluses, Legionnaires! All Legionnaires have gathered together in their meeting hall for the most unusal of exams! They have one hour to complete a test with 100 multiple-choice questions over Legion trivia. There's some public knowledge on there...and someone must have leaked out a few secret tidbits! The Legionnaire with the highest score will receive first place!

The Male Contenders: Cosmic Boy, Live Wire, Invisible Kid, Chameleon, Brainiac 5, Star Boy, Gates, M'Onel, Karate Kid, and Gear.

The Female Contenders: Saturn Girl, Apparition, Triad, Spark, Kinetix, Violet, Umbra, Kid Quantum II, Shikari, and Dreamer.

Assuming that this is all about the reboot Legion, which would make it more fair for the reboot only kids:

4. Kid Quantum II (a relative newbie but as Legion leader I'm sure she studied up on it)
5. Violet (pretty observant and has also been with the team a long time)
6. Kinetix (has seniority too and she's someone who'd know a lot about her friends)
7. Spark (for pretty much the same reasons)
8. Dreamer (been around the Legion long enough to know a lot)
9. Umbra (not the friendliest but pretty observant)
10. Shikari (new and not as used to Interlac and her friends)

Guys:
1. Cosmic Boy (mister history buff himself)
2. Invisible Kid (seniority plus observational skills)
3. Gear (would have accessed a lot of data in his time on LW)
4. Chameleon (great observational skills)
5. Brainiac 5 (while not as observant he's definitely smart enough)

This is going to be hard because I can remember so many different things that they should cancel each other out. So the pack may be hard to sort out. For instance, from my memory, don't think that anyone from Gates and Star Boy on knows who M'Onel is. So that's one. So here goes.

I feel like more of the girls probably know the answers. I think they pay attention more at debriefings.

1. Saturn Girl (seniority + telepathy (+ constant self-appointed temporary leader) = most knowledge. Plus she doesn't need her telepathy now to win. I'm betting she's already gleaned a lot of knowledge. In fact, she SHOULD scan teammates after missions to get a more accurate account of the events for the records. No "fog of war" in the Legion (take that Science Police thugs!))
2. Triad (Can you say Espionage Squad?)
3. Violet (ditto)
4. Apparition (ditto)
5. Kinetix (one thing we always see Zoe doing is reading and keeping detailed logs.
6. Spark
7. Kid Quantum II
8. Dreamer (I'm sorry, even with her flashes before she joined the team, I can only put her this far up)

(honorary #1: Chuck Taine... and he's blackmailing everyone!)

BTW, has anyone ever counted how many missions each Legionnaire has been on postboot?

This Christmas when I go back home, I plan on making a sequel to my 'Adventure Era Appearance Count' thread by tallying up every on-panel appearance by the postboot team.
