hitting 18?

Oh well. Live and learn. 8-)

Probably because you helped me get him to 16 so quick.

We need to work on him some more sometime. Blue
misses hanging around with his big buddy. 8-)

And is it still set for Triumph tonight at 6:30
central? I hope so. I want to work on Agrem
and/or Bluette ... and it'll give me a chance
to show off Blue's cape. 8-)

In a little more than 2 levels I'll be able to
get him a new costume too. 8-)

Tonight is fine with me. I'll have Junior Marvel (my version of Capt. Marvel Jr.) on line

We should probably all meet by the "parking spot" in AP around that time since we won't be on each other's lists.

Did we ever determine the level range we wanted? Caroline and I probably won't be on until after 6:00 Mountain (5:00 Pacific, 7:00 Central, 8:00 Eastern) since her mom has a doctor appointment at a little after 4:00 today.

I think we're going to be all over the board as far as levels. Junior is at 6-7 I think.

Well, Mister Brazil is level 13 so we'll have a range of levels, I don't think anyone is around the same on Triumph. I'm planning on 6:30 Pacific (7:30 Mountain, 8:30 Central, 9:30 Eastern?) We could scroll thru characters, I suppose. I've also got a level 13 dark/dark defender who I usually enjoy playing but never have time. (I do like Dark Miasma.)

I'm thinking it would be better if those of you that have chars on Triumph at lvl 13 or higher play them. The idea to play on Triumph tonight was to help Lyle level Mister Brazil. That won't happen if we're all 3 or more levels lower then him.

My highest is Junior Marvel at 8 but I know some of you have chars at least at 13. You all could sk those of us that don't and we can do Mister Brazil some good.

If Lyle is going to be on later than the rest of
us, we could spend some time working on leveling
some of the other characters.

Well, it'll be nice to level Mr B but I think the main thing is I want to have some fun with him. Soloing because my SG has outleveled him has made it pretty frustrating to play 'cause he keeps getting killed by Electric Eel. He's got a ton of debt so it wouldn't be so bad to exemplar him, either.

I'm leaving the office now, but I've got to hit the grocery store before I go home. I'll be on when I get in.

After last night I've been thinking how it's a shame we don't play our chars on other servers together more often, although we do seem to solo them quite a bit based on their levels.

We also have other LW posters that play CoH but have never (or rarely) been part of the the LW teams because their heroes (or preferred chars) are on servers other than those in which we have our main Legion groups such as Danny Blaine, Director Lad, Maegenbrand, UltraStar, Pex, Patch, Comic Addict Lad (who actually first posted about CoH on LW and started all of this) and others.

So I have a suggestion to make...

Why don't we designate each day of the week for a different server. That way, if you're looking to just play instead of work on a particular char, you know you're likely to find some of us there.

I for one always have much more fun when I'm teamed with you guys thatn soloing or teaming with random players.

So here's my suggested preliminary schedule. Feel free to object, denounce, amend, etc:

Mondays: alternate between Guardian, Victory, and Champion with assorted heroes on each.

Tuesdays: alternate between Pinnacle (contains JSA and the Buffy group plus assorted other heroes) and Triumph (Blue's crew plus assorted heroes)

Wednesdays: alternate Legion Night on Virtue & Infinity. (This night seems to work best for getting the largest group together)

Thursdays: alternate between Freedom (Peanuts, the CoH Mythos crew, and where the other large Legion group we discovered last week calls home, plus assorted other heroes) and Justice

Friday: alternate between Protector (contains Legion of Super Protectors & the Gilligans Island crew plus assorted independant heroes) & Liberty (Titans plus assorted other heroes)

Weekends would be a left "open" and likely used for TFs & special groupings.

What do you all think? Needless to say everyone can do as they please (as if you needed me to give you permission! laugh ) I just thought it would be a good way to always have a good chance of finding someone else from our group on instead of bouncing from server to server. It would also give some of the other posters here an opportunity to join us.

Vee

I agree that would be nice to play some of our
other characters as a lot of mine are being
neglected lately. I really have a few interesting
ones that I'd like to develop further.

Sounds good to me Vee. I had all but forgotten about my Crey daughter character. Think I got her to 11 in a couple of days then quit playing her. And Marcie is the only healer I have. I don't think she's even had a chance to use her rez yet.

I soloed Garth for awhile last night and got him within 2 bubbles of 18 before I got stupid and started taking on 19 lvl Lead Scorchers. Twice I had one down to the last click only to be killed. And when I came back for him he no longer exisited and other gangs were there. No one killed him, I checked the chat window. I've noticed lately, at least with Lead Scorchers (had this happen prior to last night) that if you die first they disappear so you can't get any credit for a kill.

Oh, and I played around with binds for the first time last night. Once I figured out you can't just upload the binds text file (it doesn't replace what is on the server, just adds to it) and how to clear them out from online I had some fun. The only annoying thing is if you bind a power to say something in team and you are not on a team you go around shouting "You are not on a team".

work on either Andrew or Star, but I can play
someone else too. 8-)

Garth just hit 18! On my way to see what kind of power I can get. I can't believe he was able to solo a whole level. My one Electric/Electric that actually works.

So any suggestions? I can take Tesla Cage (which would finally give me a hold power the doesn't let the baddies attack) but if I took either Hurdle or Health then I could take Stamina at 20. Or I could choose Aim (which I think is pretty much wasteful) or Buildup.

I'm thinking I should take Tesla Cage now and put off getting Stamina until 22.

I would go for tesla cage. That's the sphere
the Tesla Princes use against us. It'd be nice
to have that kind of power on our side in a
fight.

Blue has stamina now and I have to tell you that
I don't think you'll really notice much use from
it until after you get it six slotted, so I'm not
regretting the fact that Andrew won't be able to
get it until 22 now that I've taken invincibility
for him.

Oh, Blue hit 28 today. I took consume for him.
I've got it for my fire tankers, and it's a nice
recharge when you're running low and don't have
a catch a breath handy.

I was looking at Garth's powers and at some time he'll have Power Sink which sounds the same as Consume. It drains the endurance from surrounding foes and adds it to your own. That with Short Circuit sounds like a good combo to shut off the bad guy's powers.

Consume really doesn't take too much from an
individual bad guy though it does bring you up
to a full recharge if there are enough of them
around.

I just downloaded hero planner. It looks like no
new power will unlock after 28 until 32. Does
that mean you go through 4 levels without being
able to add a new power? That's going to suck
for Blue.

If I were to take all of Garth's secondaries, most of which are punching powers (for a blaster?) It would be enough to get him through before newer ones opened.

At a certain point, you go from gettng a power
every even level to getting a power every
3rd level. At this point, I'm still trying to
figure out when that kicks in.

That's what I meant by new power. Not a new
power choice, but rather the opportunity to
add a new power to your arsenal.
