Hmmm, this story is also foreshadows Crises on Infinite Earths- all of Earth's possible futures, except one- are wiped out!!

If you want to talk foreshadowing think of the Anti-Lad story in the context of post-Crisis. Superboy has been wiped out of Legion history and that utterly messes it up.
For more foreshadowing look at reboot #105. Similar in several ways to Legion of Three Worlds.
