Welcome James!
Will you be inking any more issues of the Legion? And do you have an online list of your credits so we can check out your work?

Thanks Nightcrawler and Vee! The abridged 411 on me is as follows: Started in Comics doing a couple odd things for Marvel, then a regular gig doing Prototype for the Ultraverse (if anyone remembers that)! DC lured me away to ink L.E.G.I.O.N. right after Barry left, but he saw my work there and that led to us doing a number of things - Adventures Of Superman, Batman/Punisher, then the monthly Azrael series for the first 30-some issues! (Somewhere in there, I did a couple more Supermans and some Magic: The Gathering stuff for Valiant) While Barry was off doing several mini-series, I stayed with Azrael, working with Roger Robinson for another 30-some issues (after Roger left, I stuck around for awhile more, but I wouldn't reccomend checking out those issues - I call that "The Dark Time"). I wanted to reach issue 100 (seemed symbolically intriguing), but I really wasn't enjoying the book at that point, and moved on. Shortly thereafter, I rejoined Barry for a run on Titans, followed by the Empire mini. Since then I've been dipping my toes in various waters, from Thor, Weapon X and Gambit over at Marvel to the Aliens Vs. Predator graphic novel at Dark Horse. When Steve and Barry asked if I could help out on LSH #2, I was very happy to do so - to date, no one's asked me to make it a regular thing, but in this business, you never know what's coming around the next corner! I'd certainly be thrilled to take on the challenge, and it would be fun to hang out with all of you - seems like a real friendly and interesting group of folks here!

Only the pages you liked, Pov of Nine - of course! Actually, Barry started a game over on the "Full process of cover #5" thread to see if anyone can guess which pages he, Mick and I inked on issue #2, if you care to take a stab at it! (Errr - which pages didn't you like?) Faraway Lad, in all honesty, I was never as much of a fan of team books as single character books. I was almost exclusively into Marvel characters growing up, and really only discovered DC when some of the Marvel creators I liked changed companies! I got into Justice League briefly, (way) back when Steve Englehart started writing it, but my interest waned. LSH always interested me because of the SF and futuristic backdrop, but I would only read it sporadically, based on who the creative team was (although the character of Brainiac 5 really intrigued me from the get-go). I guess I can separate my comics reading into two periods - up to age 14, and 14 til now. In my first phase, it was largely about characters, and I would read books no matter who wrote or drew them. Then, the emphasis radically changed, and the creators became all important to me - I'd read anything by certain creators and lose interest in books done by people whose work I didn't like - even on books I'd read for a long time. I kind of look at this new incarnation of the Legion through fresh eyes, which can be an advantage and a disadvantage. It may light a fire under me and make me want to go back and read all the old issues - it wouldn't be the first time that's happened to me! For some reason, I never hooked into X-Files til season 4 - when I went back to watch the first three years, I couldn't believe how good they were and how I could've missed out on them in the first place!

Well then, welcome to the Legion. It'll be interesting to hear what you think of some of the classic and not-so-classic stories we discuss around these parts. We've been at it so long that a fresh perspective can really bring some of the old stuff back to life. ...and you don't have to be working on the Legion to be welcome and enjoy the company around here, heck we'll even talk to Pov...and some of us even like him. -takes all kinds, eh?- Of course for that "snarky" comment of his he deserves a serious drubbing. I'll get right on that.

Welcome! I recently reread the entire run of L.E.G.I.O.N. (R.E.B.E.L.S. too). That was one colossal kick-butt comic. Thanks for helping make it so!

I appreciate that, MLLASH - L.E.G.I.O.N. certainly has a special place in my memories, as it was my first DC work and the reason I met Barry! Both those things have played a big role in my life over the last 10 years or so!

James Pascoe's welcome thread is now longer than mine! Oh why, oh why! Such is the sorrow of my heart.
Why does a member of the Creative team get a longer welcome thread than I, a genuine Legion rejectee? It's because I was rebooted out and haven't been reimagined yet, isn't it? *sniff*
No, wait, I should be begging said member of creative team to get me put back in the book! Yes! PLEASE! No, wait, where's Barry Kitson's thread, I'll get both of them on it...
:-)
Avatar? I don't need no stinkin' avatar...
