Well, music's all very nice and everything, but what the heck ever happened to that Abin guy? This is normally just the moment at which he'd show up and command the thread to die.

Rocky threw Abin in the dungeon, so he could protect and continue his thread-killing streak.

The 80s TV cartoon version of Dungeons & Dragons had some really good episodes.

Oh yeah, I loved that. Good cast too, quite diverse

There were so many great action/adventure cartoons in the 80s. But my favorite was, and will always be, the original Transformers.

I remember watching the Transformers movie. It had a lot of lesser-known characters, with many of the "popular" ones like Optimus Prime and Bumblebee being largley absent.

I happen at the moment to be eating Bumblebee Tuna.

I made tuna panini over the weekend. But without bumblebees.

Our favorite pasta at home is a cheesy and spicy tuna macaroni salad with peas and carrots.

My mom was thinking of buying a pasta machine, but decided it would be too much work.

I always buy pizza dough and pasta ready-made. I don't have the time to actually make my own either.

I used Barilla pasta for years, until their CEO said some rather homophobic things. I haven't bought it since.

I love Barilla pasta. I never heard about that incident with the CEO though. When did that happen?

He said he wouldn't show gay companies in ads, and other things.

Ironically, some diehard capitalists just don't like money all that much, it would seem.

I'll have to remember to gratify his dislike next time I'm shopping for pasta, though these days I try to get the whole-grain kind anyway.

I used to buy the whole-grain Barilla Plus. These days, I usually by the Whole Foods home brand.

I love trying different kinds of instant pasta sauces. But if I had more free time I'd prefer making pasta sauces from scratch.

I've found some good jarred sauces, but I like it best when my mom is able to make sauce. I've followed her instructions (she really doesn't have a recipe) and was almost, but not quite as good, as hers.

With Fall getting closer, it will be time soon to start making pasta sauce and stocking the freezer. My recipe is the one from my Mom's Great Dinners From Life cookbook, but with modern modifications. I don't use bacon grease as the base, for instance. I also never salt sauce until it's almost ready to eat. Just a superstition of mine.

I'm so tired of the Food Cops, though. Pasta has long been one of my favorite go-to meals. Relatively inexpensive, easy to cook well, etc. But these days wheat flour is the Devil, so it's yet one more thing I have to be paranoid about eating. [grumble]

Oh, to hell with the Food Cops. Life's too short anyway.
