How come Skyman is the Master of Space? Isn't that Space Master?

I only just found out a few years ago that calling a huge sandwich a dagwood came from Blondie's husband. My dad uses that term all the time!

I always found it strange that the strip was called Blondie even though it was usually about Dagwood.

Keep up with what I've been watching lately!

Once a year, Blondie grabs a drink in an old speakeasy along with Allan Scott. It's a bar that doesn't serve sandwiches or allow dogs.

Originally the strip was about Blondie. Dagwood just kind of took over. Kind of like how Popeye took over Thimble Theater. Did you know there were a series of films based on the comic strip?

Since we're all dishing Blondie trivia: in the 30's and 40's, it's believed that of all the fictional comic characters to appear in Tijuana Bibles, Blondie was used the most.

The former flapper has mucho sex appeal!

^ In that issue, Dazzler uses a lot of instantly dated "whitey-trying-to-sound-black" slang.

It's amazing that by the time that issue saw publication, disco was already totally out.

But comics have had a long history of being late to the party to cash in on trends.

Perhaps they are so late to those parties, because they are so reluctant to leave any party concerning dreadful racial or sexual stereotypes.
