I think there was just not enough April in Legionnaire comics!

I've always had a soft spot for April, as I too know the pain of being betrayed by a blonde hottie, turned over to alien overlords, experimented on and turned into a cat-creature.

She was a ferocious fighter, which is to be admired as a role model for girls. April could have cleaned out those rats that were running around Shooter's second issue.

Catspaw fun fact: Many people forget that there was in fact a postboot version of Catspaw, briefly sighted as a potential recruit for Leland McCauley's Work Force! She was far further transformed into a cat creature than her preboot counterpart, and had a male wolf-creature counterpart called "Lupine"!

Before the introduction of this character, many Legion fans speculated that Kinetix was actually a rebooted version of the much-missed Catspaw, based on her temporary transformation into a furry elf-girl with a cat's tail!

Perhaps we can retcon in Computo's middle name to be 'August' and celebrate the whole SW6 exclusive crew.

July of course is reserved for "Julie Lad"!

October could be reserved for Shadow Lass and Shadow Kid, since they are from Talok VIII...

...though I guess that's far afield from SW6ers.

I work at an anime/comic shop and have a Hello Kitty candy tin sitting on top of the Legion Heroclix box on my desk. So after making a few jokes with my co-worker about "Hello Kitty and the Legion of Super-Heroes," Hello Catspaw was born during a slow period at the store.

It's a very quick, loose sketch that wasn't intended for public display, but when I saw this thread I was compelled to post it in celebration of April.
