You know the build up I guess started with Identity Crisis. Since then till now DC has kicking tail! High quality stories...a very impressive overall story they are telling.

But I keep hearing more and more rumors...backed up with some clues throughout this whole thing.

Add that this type of stories usually have a underwhelming climax and ending.

The end result may be lacking to the rising action...but will it be lacking to what came before entirely?

Sure DC has had it's grim/gritty spots since the original Crisis...but it wasn't that bad. How "bright" is this new DC going to be. Is this going to be a "brand new DC" by going back to the "basics". Cause we are really tired of going back to basics now.

i hope it doesn't !! but i guess it's gonna be pretty hard to please everyone, when this 'current' story comes to an end in 'INFINITE CRISIS' [ the story has been building for so long now ]

but i guess it's just going to continue through all the books to come ??

Matthew.

Ohmygod, um, guys we're talking about comic books here. I swear sometimes you guys expect every issue of every book to be a mini-rendition of "War and Peace" with pretty pictures.

Jeeze, now I know why Gramps says that continuty hinders writers.

As long as they don't try to turn the Legion into the X-Men and like start like 47 Legion titles with Timber Wolf as the star of all of them, I'll probably be like reasonably happy.

EG- from what I read they are changing the title to Supergirl and the Legion of Super Heroes.
Kinda seems like everything changes.

Looking for Earth Prime.

I am not sure if I understand what EG means...or if she responded to the correct post.

I think I can buy War and Peace for cheaper anyhow than I can each comic I buy. They ain't just comics when they charge the prices they do. smile

Also it's just not comics if sales slip and if the end result they can't capitalize on...thus Marvel continues to outsell them. It's called the stock market and big bucks. smile Just comics..sheesh.

Can IC backfire? Of course.

WILL it backfire? no one will really be able to tell until its all over and all the fuss dies down. Some people are going to be very happy with it, some are going to be really p**sed because a favourite character gets killed/butchered/madeover/written out. At the moment I am enjoying the ride, if a little wary of the destination.

It is only a comic book after all

My best-case scenario is that they'll restore some kind of multiverse or multiple timelines, so they can satisfy everybody's tastes again. \

If you like Silver Age four-color heroics, there'll be an Earth and some heroes devoted to that; but if you like what Batman's become, there'll be an Earth and Justice League for that too; and so on.

Any single, "unified" realm with a single tone (light or dark) is bound to disappoint and annoy a lot of readers.
