Hi All Sorry for the missed postings - life's been incredibly hectic of late and I took my eye off the ball!  Anyway, here's a whole bunch of scans to catch us up....    I really enjoyed this one!

I also want to say how much I like Barry's color for #29. I hope they use his version for the printed version.

The color version of #29 WILL be the one used for the printed cover, but I can't take any credit for it, the amazing job is entirely Nathan's!
The versions you see for solicitation are usually quick renditions purely for that purpose. Nathan usually does a much finer version for the actual print run. This is one of my favorite's of all the cover coloring he's done so far!

This is what I came up with for a “Consecutive Run” on the Legion. *Not including interrupting mini series, and of course the Swan numbers are for everything Legion from April of 1958 - January of 1968! 80 in a row for Curt Swan From Adventure #247 – Adventure #364. Ended by Neal Adams. 31 in a row for Mike Grell (35 of 40 total) – Superboy #207-#237. End by Jim Starlin. 30 in a row for Barry Kitson – LSH (2004) #1-#30 AND counting. 27 & 23 in a row for Alan Davis. Issues – LSH #68-#90 & #92–#118 – 50 of 51 covers. Ended by Jeff Moy who did issue #91 to to split the run. 2 More Barry for the "Modern Day" Record. Personally Barry, I would Love to see you pass Curt's record as well! LLLater! Chad

Here is an amazing stat about Curt Swan. During the time he drew the Legion - April 58 - January 68, he did 606 covers. Averaging over 5 covers per month on various titles. April 58 - August 68, he did 361 interiors. Averaging almost 3 interiors a month. WOW! Comments Barry? LLLater!

That is totally phenomenal! Just one of the reasons he's a comics legend!
I wonder how that tally would compare to Jack Kirby in the same period - they'd be pretty close I'd imagine....

Pretty close is right Barry! In the same period that Curt did 606 covers, Jack Kirby did 662! An additonal 6 covers per year. WOW! Now to work on the interiors comparison. Were they machines? How is this even possible! LLLater!

Man love all the covers. Gotta say I love the pencilled versions the best except #29. I love the colors for all three especially 29(and 30). I really hope to see Barry's pencils not inked in a comic in that new process. I think it would look amazing. Just for one issue?! A annual or something? A secret files?! Who do I have to beg?

I do pretty much all my drawing and inking (even for the roughs) on paper, but do scan each stage into the computer and then make changes or add whites (as in the cover to #29) using a Wacom tablet. I don't think I could ever get used to doing everything in the PC the way Brain Bolland does, but it is a really handy tool especially during the design stages.
