My mom often used to say, "The trouble with W" -- although she didn't put that to words.

I appreciate so very much Tom Ridge's service. You know, he was a governor there in Pennsylvania, just kind of cruising along.

As I said in my State of the Union address, liberty is not America's gift to the world. Liberty is God's gift to human -- to the human -- mankind.
-- Looking for and failing to find "humanity", Washington, D.C., Feb. 26, 2003

Dumbest president ever.

First, we would not accept a treaty that would not have been ratified, nor a treaty that I thought made sense for the country.

Sad, really.

I really don't have any response to this, because its just another example of ABB syndrome. I disproved quite a few of your erroneous facts over on your other thread, so you attack on the basis of mis-speaking?

That is all you can come up with?

I had seriously thought about posting some stuff on the kerry voting record, but honestly, you are doing a better job for bush than i ever could. Bitterness and hate shines through.

Well it's hard to chat with you because I can't believe anyone who enjoys a futuristic comic, like Legion, can be behind a president that is so anti-science.

Guess you never heard of the phrase "different strokes for different folks".

Not everyone is as turned on by the same things as you. By deductive reasoning from your last post, they aren't worthy beings. Not too much tolerance being shown by you.

I remember Quayle getting a thorough bashing in the press for misspelling "potato".

So do I. Heck, i remember Gerald Ford being ridiculed by SNL because he fell a few times. Yeah, thats what you want to decide a president on. Thank you electronic media.

I guess it shows the fundamental shift in media in a way. It used to be that camera men and reporters would never talk about FDR's being in a wheelchair. But now you have Reagan's colon, Clintons Oral Office, Quail's "potatoe" famine, and Bush's malaprops (sp?). the media seems much more about being Jerry Springer now rather than being like Horace Greeley.

Rick I may not share your political views but I totally share your distrust of the medias approach to 'news'.

Legion Worlds NINE - wait, there's even more ongoing amazing adventures? Yup, and you'll only find them in the Bits o' Legionnaire Business Forum.

Thanks, Harbinger. I don't mind political disagreement, like some folk seem to think i do. Its more about getting together and putting aside personal desire to do what is best for your constituents, and your fellow members of society.

That is what made america build itself into a nation that works well. I'm not saying we don't have faults. In fact, i am one that is more than willing to point them out. But i think the real world needs and concerns have just as much a place as the loftier goals that others have.

And i don't think the current media is honest, forthcoming, but most of all, relevant to what is taking place in america. The media, like it or not, is a money driven industry, and they will do what it takes to procure money. Dissention, tragedy, excess...all things things sell much better than something like "Local committee gets together and raises 1.2 million for new school computers."

If you watch the leads, you see what i mean.
