I like Chole's and Andres the best. I really didn't like poffy Daniel V's out fit.

I loved the theme for this episode, because it's such an open palette.

Andrae's design was really nice. I think with some more time and maybe more $ for more ritzy looking sparkling decorations, it could be even better.

It does seem like Chloe's and Santino's dresses suffered from already being done better last season, by Jay and Austin.

Nick's design was fine, no problem with it. Kors mentioned that he's tired of the fish tail dresses, but I'm not that savvy. I think Nick's designs really make the models look sexy. I was surprised he was being such a baby about the model change. He seemed very distracted by that, he even seemed to want to quit for a while. Kinda bratty behavior. So I was relieved when he seemed to find a way to move on. His model did end up doing a great job.

Kara's dress was kinda boring, but OMG, her model had a BODY! Whew!

Zulema was just kind of a mess all through the show. She was all bossy with her model walk off thing, which resulted in hurting her blond model and Nick, but then also Nick's previous model. Then, her inspiration looked like it had nothing to do with her design except the color. Then, she kept complaining about the lack of time and about how she was expected to dig deeper. She always seemed to be full of excuses on the runway. It was appropriate that she'd be cut this week.

Tonight's episode was the one where Tim Gunn got Santino to do his impersonation of him, for him. Santino's actually really funny..."Make it work!"

I thought the challenge was really fun, and like Nina, I was surprised there were so few flowers and so much green. I agree with the judges choice of cutting Andrae, and honestly, not because I don't care for him, but because his design was least interesting. I also agree that Daniel should be the winner, though I was surprised and pleased with Kara's design. I was glad Chloe got hers together in time and I thought Santino's looked like every other Santino creation. Nick wasn't very impressive this time, but I'm glad he wasn't cut.

I also agreed with the judges' observation about everyone being concerned about what happened to Austin's corn husk design last season. Insightful and probably very true. Naturally, I think it would be really interesting to try this challenge myself. I know that $100 doesn't go very far with flowers and plants!

It was good to see Tim put Santino in his place. But still, his ego is still raging with the comment about wanting to win immunity and then do something outregously offensive.

Daniel V. is winning alot of the challenges with Chole comeing in a close second/thrid. Just like Kara Saun winning and Jay coming in second. Shades of what to come? And Kara's dress was really well done and very cute.

I fear the judges have no love of Nick's work, so I'm predicting Chloe, Santino and Daniel as the top three.

I love this show. It's so great seeing reality show people winning for actual TALENT. This was a hard one this week. Nobody's was out and out horrible. I actually thought Santino should have been in the bottom two with Nick. I really didn't hate Andre's that much. I was pleasantly surprised with Kara's dress. I think if the skirt had been a little less 'doormat', she would have won. The top to her dress was really, really pretty.
I'd be pretty shocked if Chloe and Daniel aren't in the top 3...maybe Kara can keep impressing them and make it there too? I hope it isn't Santino in the top 3. He does the same crazy, big skirted mini dress every freaking week.
I still miss Diana. She should still be there.

I love it when someone I hadn't been paying attention to before surprises me. You know I'm talking about Kara here. Plainly stated: I loved her dress. I also loved Chloe's, and two days later I still can't decide which one I like better. I'd put Daniel's just a half-step behind them; the orchids were amazing. There was something I liked about each of the other three, too.

I usually don't think about how I'd approach the challenges, but this time I did, a bit. I started going over my (really) modest knowledge of flowers and considering what might work as a construction technique/how to get around the limitations. Ahh, who knows? Maybe I'll go crazy some day at the grocery (kinda cheap flowers) and have fun making a huge mess.

Dismissed contestant I think might have done something great or crazy for this challenge: Guadalupe!

I dunno why I didn't start really liking Daniel V's stuff until like maybe the last three weeks? I have to go back and see if glossed over his early stuff...Chloe's circumstances definitely give me the Kara Saun vibe (super talented but is she gonna always be the bridesmaid?!?)...

Daniel V's stuff was really boring until Window Shopping, IMO.

I soooo miss Diana, tho. Every episode I've found myself trying to imagine what she would come up with. I'd love to see what kind of skating outfit she'd conceive of... and "inspiration" seems to totally match her process... and it would have been such a hoot to see her give another designer a makeover.

My pick for the final three is falling to Kara, Chloe and Daniel V. I think Kara will pull a surprise after being so blah for so long, though she may just "Pepper out" (as the TWOP posters call it) and make it into the final three by virtue of being second worst every time.

Kara was a big surprise this episode. She did a great outift. Again, Santino was saved not on skill but on his big attitude. Chole's outfit rocked. It was perfect for nick. Classy but with a twist in the back wiht the vest. I could totally see Nick wear this outift. Daniel V's - what did he do to Chole? Ugly.

I wasn't very impressed with the designs for this challenge. I felt like no one really made anyone else over. Chloe put Nick in stuff that maybe he wouldn't pick out on his own, but it still totally looked like him. Not a makeover. However, at the end of the day it was probably the best done outfit of the lot.

Daniel made Chloe look like Paula Abdul, which is not a compliment, because even though I like Paula, she is NOT known for her great style.

If I didn't know that Kara designed that outfit for Santino, I would have just thought it was one of his own ensembles. Okay, more colorful than normal pants.

Kara's outfit was GROSS! What was Santino thinking? Sorry to go all 7th grade, but OMG, y'know?

Then, there was Nick's design for Daniel. Oh Nick, what happened? I had such high hopes! That suit was absolutely ridiculous.

Just needed to post that I can NOT stop doing my impersonation of Santino impersonating Tim Gunn! I keep saying things like, "I'm concerned." and "Make it work!" I'm even trying to say the kind of things we say at work all the time, that way. It's funny in person. Really!

Designers, keep an eye out for Andrae. He's our little lamb!

White. A blank page or canvas. His favorite. So... many... possibilities.

BTW, anyone check out the photos from the Project Runway show at Olympus Fasion Week ?

(Spoilers at the link, obviously. Don't click if you don't want to see the final lines.)

Some interesting stuff. I liked Kara's work the best, though she has some real clunkers. I kinda wonder, tho, if they mixed up the lines a little to avoid the spoilers... there are too many dresses that match the style of a different designer than the one credited.

LyleLyle,
After your post, it seemed like Kara made it to fashion week. When I watched the episode, the whole time I thought Chloe would be out, so I was really surprised when she did make it.

As for this episode, like Nina, I was underwhelmed by the designs. Everyone was trying to be simple and have clean lines, except Santino, of course. Still, Iman looked fantastic in Daniel's dress....

As always, I love this show. So creative and fun.

I too kinda wondered why they didn't make anything too memorable for their final dress. Michael Kors is funny but I think he becomes hilarous when Santino acurately guesses how he's gonna react to work.

Heh, I'd guess Kara got the best revenge because she had my favorite line, based on those Olympus Fashion Week photos. I'm not sure who went more against type -- Santino's rather restrained line or Kara's daring and funky one.

Next week is the reunion episode! I'm eager to see Diana again, I've spent too many episodes wondering what she would compose for the week's challenge.

BTW, I can't wait for Top Chef. The producers of Project Runway + food + filmed in San Francisco = high potential for greatness. I sure hope they take a lot of field trips!

It seems that free from the judges, Kara felt she could express herself more. Love the wool hats in her design. Daniel and Chole also has some great pieces. I am most disappointed in Santino. None of his pieces seems to reflect who he is. I am glad that he edited his stuff but to me, he looked like he was channeling Chole for his whole line.

So it seems that the top four from this show each get to show at Fashion Week. This happened last year too, with Austin Scarlet.

I have to agree that Kara's line was most dynamic as far as being colorful and different. I only looked really quickly, once, but the other three all seemed like they were done by the same person. I'm sure with closer inspection, the differences will be apparent.

I didn't like the talk show last year and I didn't like it this year, either. Sure, some of the extra footage was fun, but once again -- how about telling us what everyone has been up to? Oh, this year they asked but only a few answers made it to air. Sigh...well, maybe that will wind up on the bonus video on Bravo's site.

Bump for Wednesday's finale!

I saw most of the "reunion" show. I bet they have to edit a LOT of what was said to create only one episode worth of material. The "musical" bit was cute.

Was Guadalupe loopy or what during the reunion show?! For those who don't know, who do you think it gonna win based off the March 1st episode? Santino is so annoying but I'm concerned that I might like his stuff better than Chloe's. Daniel V's stuff is ehn...

Lylelyle, I didn't know Top Chef was filmed in SF! You mean I missed getting to be a restaurant guest? frown

Oh no...I have pretty much hated Santino this season for his horrible attitude, but from what I can see so far, his collection is the best...I think maybe seeing how he came off on the show has given him some humility?

Did anyone else notice that his friend Tony who Santino and Tim visited is TONY WARD--Madonna's former boy toy and star of artsy gay porno-ish films like HUSTLER WHITE???
