I heard this is 1 of several variants, featuring a team-member in 50s 60s 70s 80s and 90s outfits??? Is this true or rumour-RAMA?
I *do* like it better than the regular cover.

You got to wonder how bizarre it would be to have a copy of this with Imra in her 90s or 00s costume?

My big problem is that the new LOSH editor Brian Cunningham doesn't know his Legion history - “Jim’s schedule is kinda busy, to say the least, but his love of the Legion ultimately prevailed! Jim’s idea for these variants is to spotlight a Legionnaire from a different era. The first cover — Saturn Girl in her 1970s outfit designed by the late, great Dave Cockrum — is sexy as all get-out! I’m not sure who will be on #2’s variant yet — I’m secretly hoping it’s Matter-Eater Lad, but whoever Jim wants to draw is fine by me!” Everyone knows that costume was designed by K. Haven Metzger of Columbia City, IN! And while I will enjoy Jim's take on the various eras and Legionnaires...I can't help but think this is another "Gary Frank redesign the Legionnaire costumes to make them unrecognizable" moment. Would a casual reader understand/appreciate why this cover doesn't match the interior? It's almost like DC doesn't want to sell this book to anybody but the members of this forum.

I'm liking it! My only problem...it's hard to tell what her right arm is doing. Would a casual reader understand/appreciate why this cover doesn't match the interior? With it being a 1:10 variant, I don't think you have to worry about the casual reader picking this up. Only us fans and the speculators.

I like it as an art piece, but it's certainly not in character. I just can't imagine Imra standing around pouting and flipping her hair.
I certainly won't pay a premium for it.

super hot. way better than the hand cover that is equal parts green lantern and legion.
Lee's a bit more cartoony here than before. i liked his more stylized 90s X-men stuff.

If my shop sells this for close to normal price I may pick it up. Most of the variants of this number are 4.99 each.
Active LMB character is still Beast Boy.

OMG! When I wrote in the other thread that the only reason Saturn Girl hadn't appeared on any Legion covers yet was because she was going to hog all the variants for herself it was meant to be a JOKE! Gah! What a disappointment. I hate the regular cover so much I was hoping for a fantastic Jim Lee variant to get instead. And, while it is a nice picture of Imra, the cover of a Legion #1 should have more than one member (or one unidentifiable hand) on it. I also didn't realise Jim Lee was going to be doing a series of one-character variants. While that will hopefully bring in more sales, my OCD-ness means if I get the Imra cover I will have to keep getting the character covers so as not to break the set. But what if I like some later regular covers more? Dilemma! ugh. This is not the Legion news I was hoping to start the day with.

I sort of like the cruiser. I wonder, though, about the style of sci-fi design that cuts out hull sections to expose machinery. There's something to be said for simplicity.
Imra's costume has become more purple than pink. I actually like that.

Love the cruiser, although it's way, way, way more detailed than any artist would want to draw inside the issues themselves! (And looks a wee bit Star Trek-ish, in the shape.)
What? Oh, thumbs up for classic Imra. I'm long over my love affair with the Farrah look, but it's fun from a nostalgic PoV.

ugh. This is not the Legion news I was hoping to start the day with. easily you can frame the character covers as I did with JSA Alex Ross cover with black background...it was beautiful. I am hoping to see Jim Lee drawing two: Colossal Boy's adventure costume era (red/green/yellow scheme) and heh, Cosmic Boy's black bustier costume heh.

Why is her hand glowing? Is there meant to be a flight ring there and he just forgot to draw it? I don't love it so much, but it's a cute idea, and yay Jim Lee!
