If the Summer Olympics are still being held in 3008, I think several Legionnaires will be strong contenders for Olympic medals.

I think Gim would obviously be an effective basketball center.

Tellus would do quite well in open-water swimming.

Rokk and Pol, of course, would be the star players on the Braalian magnoball team, if magnoball is an Olympic sport.

Val would clearly be the favorite to win the gold medal in men's taekwondo, but I think Shady would also be a contender for a medal in the women's event.

Luornu could be a one-woman archery or table tennis team.

What other Legionnaires would have a shot at winning Olympic medals?

Dream Girl would be a winner in women's taekwondo...after all, Karate Kid taught her the best.

Timber Wolf would win the gold medal in gymnastics.

Shrinking Violet would be an excellent participant in either gymnastics or fencing.

MOn-El and Ultra Boy would excel in Beach Volleyball.

Booster Gold (who has a Legion Flight Ring) would dominate in Skeets shooting. wink

I remember an issue from the Levitz/Giffen era, when the whole team played beach volleyball, with an agreement not to use their powers. The game ended when Colossal Boy used his powers to spike the ball and Dawnstar called him on it.

That's right! It was right around when Giffen was starting his run. Broderick did the main story, and Giffen did a few back-ups for awhile until he became the regular artist.

My bad.

I always had Vi pegged as a gymnast or a martial artist.

Duo Damsel would be a natural fit for synchro-diving.

This boot's Vi and Imra could be shooting stars.

Light Lass and Star Boy could be cheating weightlifters (she'd make her loads lighter, he'd make everyone else's heavier).

Which events would which Legionnaires want to attend/give medals at as celebrities?

Cham might compete in the equestrian events, as the horse. Jeckie could be the rider, since equestrian is traditionally a popular sport among royalty.

or even in Archery. I can see Princess Projectra taking Archery...due to her being in Medieval times where bows and arrows are used as weapons.

Monstress probably has the right physique to be a successful weightlifter or wrestler.

Unfortunately, Candi fancies her chances on the Vault and the Uneven Bars in gymnastics.

So of course she'd choose rhythmic gymnastics.

At the Winter Olympics, Bouncing Boy would be a medal contender in curling, since he's an expert in bouncing things off other things.
