two comments: nice to see StarBoy! Can't wait for Dream Girl soon in action!

#2 - Duo Damsel - black hair? symbolizing the death of her self? and wears a nice pair of earring, two different colors.

I like the pics! Yay for Star Boy! And I like Terra Man and his posse.

Terra Man is a Superman villain from the future right?

Well, well! Duo Damsel is back and we'll also see Star Boy in a, hopefully, speaking part. So, when are we going to see Nura and Mysa? wink

Is this episode 2.6 or 2.7? I thought "Who am I" was 2.6??? Maybe I'm mistaken.

I assume the kid Imperiex is saving is himself or one of his ancestors? Wow, that would be shades of Terminator... smile

The Legion will probably wrestle with the "Could we kill Hitler as a baby, or kill his parent or grandparent before he is born...?"

And I just had a side thought. If they ever make an animal counterpart for Terra-Man, a la Super Squirrel and Wonder Wabbit from Justa Lotta Animals, they'd have to go with "Terra-Bull". lol Dang, but I crack myself up!

That was all me Craig. I had down 2.7, uploaded the photos to a new section at LegionPics under 2.7 but wrote 2.6 when I posted it all here. I've corrected it now.

"I'm not good with kids. I stepped on one once." lol

I'm enjoying the evolution of "Kell" as a character. Yeah, he's kind of predictable but what the heck, I like his moody personality more than classic Boy Scout Superman's. As cartoon characters go, he's kind of sexy, too.

Star Boy's action debut was pretty cool though he exhibited little unique personality, imo. Terra Man and his robot cowboys.were nicely creepy, and I liked the irony he was Kell's "brother", so to speak. Plus, we got the origin of Imperiex.

I thought the Legion should have adopted Abel for his own good (and the good of the universe) but aside from that little nitpick, I have no complaints about this episode. It was fast-paced, action-packed and just good, clean fun.

I was thinking the same thing, Malvolio. smile

Anyway, I thought this week's episode was a lot better than last week's(Not that "Who Am I" was a bad episode, it was just...wierd for some reason). We got the origin of Imperiex(by the way, was that his actual origin or was it just for the cartoon?), Duo Damsel, the return of Bouncing Boy, robot cowboys, and I agree that while Star Boy was pretty kick ass, he could have shown a little more personality. Kell-El trying to show some compassion to the kid was pretty sweet, too. It's about time he got some more character development.

that or the old addage about what if you traveled back in time and meet Hitler as a small child knowing what he'd eventually become as an adult. and asking the ethical question: "what would you do?"

I really enjoyed the episode, despite the fact that the bulk of it focused on characters that aren't really (classic) Legion characters at all (Kell-El, Imperiax, Terminator... er, Terra-Man, and Abel), and my general dislike for the whole "preserving/changing the timeline" kind of plots.

Loved Bouncy and DD's appearance, of course, and Star Boy was a welcome change over other characters who could've fulfilled basically the same role (Cosmic Boy or Lightning Lad, for example).

(I haven't read any others' reviews yet...)

Lot's of great action this episode. Terra Man and his posse were really interesting. The dilemmas concerning preserving a child that could end up causing terror as an adult was very well displayed. Kell ended up being pretty dang cool.

Loved the Legion cast... Star Boy speaks! Lu looks really cute!

It would take a real mess to make me not enjoy this show. I wonder if I'll be delighted or annoyed by Dream Girl's personality when we get to see it.

Oh yeah, sometimes Terra Man reminded me of Jack Nicholson. Anyone else?

He reminded me more of Clint Eastwood's Man with No Name from the spaghetti western series.

Lu looks cute and I dig the mourning locks but it seems like everyone else has been powered up in the cartoon Legion (Star Boy the latest example) while she gets de-powered down from 3 to 2 selves. Hopefully this will be rectified by season's end.

Over all I liked the episode. I was a little annoyed that they gave Star Boy Light Lass' power, but knowing Ayla won't be around to use them, it's ok.

Two things that bothered me. One a nit-pick. the other a trend not just of the Legion cartoon.

The Nit-pick: Kell tells Bouncing Boy to punch a hole through the wall of robots. First, it is a pretty obvious thing to do. But more important, Bouncing Boy is the sprocking leader!!!!!!!! He should be giving the order in that situation, not taking it.

The trend: Using lethal force. Star Boy drops a huge boulder on Terra Man and the other cowboys, not knowing (at least the viewer does not know yet) that they are robots. As I said, I think this is a trend in superhero cartoons. The hero using what should be lethal force.

I thought this was a decent episode, but the animation on Abel fsce's bugged me. It reminded me
too much of one of those direct-to-video knockoff's of Disney movies, and it just seemed distracting to me.

I was also a bit surprised that there wasn't at least a passing comment by someone in the episode about Duo Damsel's new look. Of course, we know that it was Lu and likely why she did it, but a new viewer turning in might not pick up on that.

It was nice to see Star Boy once again - other than he was shown using Ayla's powers as well as his. Maybe the focus of the Dream Girl episode will be somehow having Dream Girl and Brainy build some crazy machine that would take the light powers from Star Boy and give them to Ayla and age her in the process lol.

well, but Hitler's actions were the direct and willful CAUSE of evil...in this case, since most scientists invent technology presumably for the benefit of others, I'd say it's more like, "suppose that as a child, Hitler nearly drowns in an icy lake but is saved by a passing good samaritan....you have a chance to go back in time and kill that good samaritan so that he never saves Hitler...do you?"

Isn't it a sufficient amount of time later that we don't know who the current leader is? Nevertheless, still a flaw as the identity of the current leader should be established. They are acting like it is Cosmic Boy...

AS for the "trend", I agree whole-heartedly! In this case, I even think I recall them going out of their way to mention that un-necessary killing can lead to expulsion, but then there's an incident like this...I was watching with my kids, and they were pretty confused ("hey, did he just KILL those guys?"), I was grateful when it turned out that they were robots/not dead (though even that raises issues, considering the nature of Brainy...).

The worst case of this "trend" happened around the show "Who Wants To Be a Super-hero"...in that show, they appear to mean well as Stan Lee mentions several times that "super-heroes don't kill", but in the comic book he wrote for season 1? Bad guy stopped by having car brought in to blow up building he's trapped in...my kids immediately say, "but we thought super-heroes don't kill"...

Other than that issue, though, I LOVED Star Boy's "substantial action" debut...crushing dozens of robots together like tin cans with his focused gravity power? Creating a planet out of a nebula? Definitely the most powerful version of Star Boy ever portrayed, even perhaps including the incarnations in which he had Superman-like abilities...

Star Boy was definitely pulling out the Graviton-level gravity control effects. Very cool, and a nice way to have him out there next to SuperClone and still making his mark.
