Trying to break into the cool posting crowd at Legion World, a young naive Cobie (Scott Baio) alienates his stressed-out single working mom (Jane Alexander), his wholesome repressed lesbian girlfriend (Kristy McNichol), and his upright bible-thumping best friend (Willie Aimes). However, with the help of his gymnastics coach (Ned Beatty) he realises he doesn't have to post so much to be cool and everyone forgives him.
