... in the 31st Century. Or likely will. I really need it.

I was measured and fitted today by the optometrist for my first pair of bifocals. *humongous sigh*

I'll get over it, but tonight I feel REALLY old.

Especially after the doc saw the picture in my wallet of my younger (by 15 months) brother, and asked, "Is that your son?" *humongous sigh squared*

Oh, and I was only thrown for a bit by their costing $217 with the So-Cal-necessary sun-darkening lenses. (And including eye exam. I did get a special.)

If I wanted graduated reading-sub-lenses, with no visible line, it was another $150. I decided that even vanity had its financial limits! Maybe I should save for Lasik.

Post young thoughts, folks. I'm feeling too, well, grey right now ...

You got the ultra cool auto-darkening lenses Grey? That's so way bitchingly awesome!! You're all the rage man! smile

Fer sure?

Gnarly?

I'm running out of expressions. Let me go ask my kids what's "in" right now. My oldest is 8, and he can kick my butt on any of our video games.

Actually, got any room on the park bench Grey? Cause I'm believe my hair's getting thinner every day...

Ignore the body. The mind stays young, or it can if you so wish. The "old guy who buys a sports car" doesn't strike me as so silly any more!

The unfortunate thing about middle age is that the expenses start to rise due to deteriorating body parts, but we're still too young for the senior discounts.

i'm find a new GREY hair almost everyday !! and i'm developing a strong grey streak just above my right ear !! guess i'll look like REED RICHARDS in a few more years !!

i'm not that bothered about going grey [ i quite like that GEORGE CLOONEY look !! ]

i have thought about colouring my hair [ afterall i do work at a hair salon !! ] but once you start, you pretty much have to carry on, so i'll probably wait a long time yet ......

Have no fear LWers! I feel younger everyday!

I’m at the perfect stage where I have a job and am making lots of money, but with only half of that grown-up responsibility stuff getting in my way! Hell, I go out at least four times a week, although usually five! I flirt with every young woman I see, I drink every drink under the sun and I eat whatever I want, whenever I want it! Sure my body weight goes up and down about forty pounds as the seasons change—I don’t care!

I still have late night phone call sessions with my female friends like I was in High School! I still go out after the bars close at 2:00 am, and find some ‘hot’ spot to party at until sunrise!

I work out hard when I can and then casually take a few weeks off, before getting right back into it! Sure, I’m sore…but only for the first day or so!

I have every intention of living like this until I’m 70! Then I’ll really step it up a notch!

My younger brother became a grandfather at 30. But he cheated, cause at 19, he married an older woman with two daughters. His oldest step daughter was 8, and was 6 when my brother started dating her mom, so she's almost always though of him as "dad". She had her first child at 19. My brother gets a kick out of it! He's actually now got 3 grandkids. He says "I'm a grandpa, and I don't qualify for the senior discount at Denny's for another 25 years...

I've had glasses since I was 25 - I hated them at first, thought I lookeds like a stereotyped stuck up secretary - and 19 years later I need bifocals but am worried they'll make me look like am old school mistress. I'm just going to have to bite the bullet and buy them - Bifocal wearers of the World unite and take over!!

Vanity is stupid really, you are still young at heart Grey so party on, bifocals and all.

Bxx

Legion Worlds NINE - wait, there's even more ongoing amazing adventures? Yup, and you'll only find them in the Bits o' Legionnaire Business Forum.

If you flirted with older women, you might not have to work at all! wink

( I mean older than Omni Craig's brother... make that older, wealthy women...)

Gee.. I started losing my hair at 19. Now being in my late 30's I am getting gray and I dont have a forehead..more like a fivehead.
I have come to the conclusion..God has a sense of humor..and he is laughing really hard at me.
