This is the thread for the Weird Al's and other stuff that parodies a hit song and does a bang-up good job of it.

First up: Those of you who remember 2 Live Crew's "Me So Horny" might also get a kick out this:

YouTube is seriously annoying me this week. What with their usual creepy, prying demands that I surrender my real name, my cellphone number, a chunk of my liver, etc. Not to mention their ever more aggressive advertising all over the place. Now that they're freezing up and yakking all over my computer too, eff 'em.

However, I do vote for Spamalot as being loaded with some of the best modern song parodies I've ever heard.

"His Name Is Lancelot" (parodying "Rio" and pretty much everything else Peter Allen ever did) and "The Song That Goes Like This" (parodying every overblown saccharine love duet in every musical made after 1970) are both brilliant.

Flight of the Conchords did some fun parodies of Bowie, New Romantics, Pet Shop Boys among others

^Yes, a lot of Bowie and Pet Shop Boys in that one. In particular, it evokes Bowie's "Fashion," which is not a parody but should be:

^By the way, I didn't realize that G.E. Smith, later the guitarist of Hall & Oates and husband of Gilda Radner, is also in this video.

This is side-by-side comparison of Weird Al's "Bedrock Anthem" with the Red Hot Chili Peppers' "Under the Bridge" and "Give It Away," which shows how meticulous Weird Al is in parodying his source material.

I still love all the sight gags in the parody version.
