Seems such a long way away.

With so many mutiverses seemingly appearing in this thing, it would have been really odd not to have some Legion involvement. Would the version Levitz left off be the best option or perhaps something new that the Powers That Don't at DC hope to spin off into a new title?

What's a 3D motion comic? Does Princess Leia appear as a hologram and read the issue to you now?

I can't bring myself to care, because there are still the same old morons running DC, and they'll inevitably eff it up.

After 52 and Countdown there's not a chance I'll be picking this series up or it's numerous spin off issues. I might look at the Legion issue, simply because of the boards here. But that's look as in from the shop shelf. Not as in purchased and taken home. If others post that it's not worth bothering about, I'll get to miss it entirely.

I have mixed feelings if Giffen is involved in the Legion issue, considering the track record.

My feelings about the possibility of Giffen writing the Legion issue are entirely negative. I think everything he touches turns to $#!t.

I am not excited about "Futures End" ... the cluttered, confusing pre-Crisis DC Universe was a lot less cluttered and confusing.

I think that pretty much sums up my feelings on the topic.

I'll pass. The Legion is dead. Unless the Legion comes back as a regular series, I will not jump on board to these DC teasers.

I'll have to see before I decide. I guess this is possibly a test to see if they will come out with a regular series again. I noticed that they made it pretty clear that it could be separate future from JL3K. I'm sure it will be brought out later in TPB so I could wait for it if it does end up being the beginning of a new Legion.

Brian Azzerello at C2E2 today talking about Keith Giffen's work on Future's End:

"Who knew Keith was such an angry disturbed old man?" Azz joked.

Um, Azz, ask a Legion fan.

...but you don't have a moment where you're sitting there staring at a table full of twenty-five characters with little name signs that say, "Hi, my superpower is confusing you!"

Maybe it's one you can flip through to see the crazy, violent and meaningless deaths as if they were happening in front of you. I heard they're coming out with an Infinite Crisis edition where you can see Pantha's head fly towards you.

Don't forget to duck! Pantha

I thought we had the news programmes to get told about pointless, meaningless deaths.

That infinite Crisis edition will also have the hordes of villains attacking metropolis.

You get to see them all run forward, before one says "This was our masterplan? All those issues. All that countdown. This? running in a line to attack a city?"

Another one races forward , almost out of the pages of the 3D book. "Did anyone notice any suburbs, or infrastructure?"

"Or a point?" retorts the first.

Then there's the Zero Hour edition, where scores of heroes gather around to gaze at their navels while reality is unraveling. But they look good while doing it! Have fun identifying the dozens of heroes who show up to do absolutely nothing.

You get to see the excruciating detail on Batman's and Steel's faces as they are devoured by, er, bright white lights (don't worry, they'll get better).

I'll look at it & I may even buy it but I'm not at all hopeful about the prospects of a LSH revival in the new 52 era.

And to tell the truth the cancelation of the LSH gave me an excuse to quit comic books (with the exception of World's FInest) altogether. I had been dissatisfied with nearly everything about modern comic book story telling for quite some time.

And now, thanks to (imo) ugly art, I've quit WF too.

First comic books ever bought: A DC four-for-47-cents grab bag that included Adventure #331. The rest is history.

Dawnstar's the recognizeable one, I guess, though her face is... different.

The blond guy is Animal Man in his new 52 costume. The chick who isn't Dawnstar is Equinox, who is a now-52 new member of this branch of the Justice League.

Which also counts Hawkman, Martian Manhunter and Adam Strange on its now-52 roll call. I see elements of each of them in the fourth dude on the cover. However, my first thought when I saw him was of a Batman villain whose name I don't recall. Then I thought of X-men.

And then I hoped that was a return to the 21 st century for Dawnstar, and that it would suck for the Legion Lost characters to be banished here for five more years.

And then I realized that I just wish everything Legion-related since Flashpoint could be wiped clean away. And if the comic gods could do the same to/for Dick Grayson and Black Canary, I'd be a happier comics reader.

Perhaps the story will see a few more legion elements if they show how Dawnstar gets on the team.

If this is something that they are building towards, perhaps they will be looking at Dawnstar from a cultural perspective too. Is Equinox the character they went to some length to give some authentic heritage to? Something else else which frankly always leaves me utterly cold.

The cover art doesn't do a huge amount for me.
