Got mine picked, but feline overlord demanded attention, so just have to assign points. I found myself sticking to recent rounds. With so many good characters, I was leaning to those who nearly made it this far.

I see Nighty has Monster Boy points, while idle has Doctor Fate. Bendisboot resurgence...is on!

There were another half dozen I'd have happily given points to as well, but wanted to give these more of a fighting chance.

Not quite in that group, there's Nura. Embodiment of fan power in the Legion election, and a character who developed superbly under Levitz as a result. One of the earliest scenes in the Baxter series was her taking out a driod with her powere being used for combat.
Drura is the rejected applicant whose powers, once controllable, was ptobably the most feared character in the galaxy. No one, not Darkseid, not Mordru, not the LSV would want to mess with Drura. Or get her on a bad day. Which she doens;t seem to have many of, with the sense of mischief she has.
I didn't even go back to look at Mon-El again. Another influential character, who if he won this I'd have been nodding my head in agreement.

It IS interesting how, among the current op 25/30, we barely have any couples.

There's Brainy and Kara, and now Laurel

Imra and Garth, but Imra's pre-5YL and Garth is Reboot

This was really hard. Picking those that "might" get a second chance.

In the end I had to hope that putting most of it on Brainy would be enough to get him back in. Then possible boosts for a few other outstanding 5YL characters. Cos really did pull the team back together, and the dynamic between him and Vi was amazing. Would we even have a free Earth without Jacques?

After that the rest is really just token votes to show them some love. I don't expect any of those points to really help but maybe it will prompt someone else to use their budget of points.
Those 4 Pre-5YL are probably the standouts to me (that have been dropped). Again Jacques, Jeckie, Luornu and Mysa had some of the most interesting storylines and character development.
I thought Reboot Cos's leadership was terrific.
And Danielle showed so much potential. Such a pity it was cut short.

now, as 10 of our contestants get a fairly sizable bonus due to winning it big in Round 5, I've also tweaked the point system so that higher ranks can earn a fair big number of points - where in Round 6, rank 1 could earn 500, here Rank 1 can earn 450. not a big jump down. The reason for this: while I wanted the Round 5 winners to get a boost, without making that boost insurmountable - else where would the fun be?

So, a word of caution, this game is prone to surprises... think carefully about how complacent you want to be with your faves!

House Rules

1) Each round will last about 72 hours (so, around this time on January 31st Wednesday - around dinner time for me )
2) I'll vote at or near the start of every round to minimize bias on my part.
3) While I don't encourage changing of votes, I won't disallow them either. I'll only tally votes at the end of each round (to make it easier on myself!). I'll post on this thread the minute I start tallying to alert everyone; votes that come in after that will be ignored.
4) In case of errors in the results, I'll post a correction immediately. If anyone's vote was affected by the error, he or she will get a makeup vote next round - +15 points to give a Legionnaire of their choosing (only applicable once we do ranking; for rounds before, will do something else).
5) In case of a tie, I will look at cumulative points through past rounds to break the tie.

interesting top 30 we got - 15 from the Reboot, 10 from pre-5YL, 3 5YL, and 1 each from Dead Earth and Threeboot, still going strong.


Duplicates on the list: 3 Brainiac 5s, 2 Luornu Durgos, and we have both Laurel Gand and Supergirl represented - though they definitely are different characters, I would say. that means we have 27 "unique" characters represented on the list of 30, sweet.

all 3 founders are still on, though Cos and Garth are Reboot versions, and Imra pre5YL.

and a large portion of the list includes Legionnaires who don't have multiple counterparts in the "main" canon 'Boots - besides Laurel and Kara, we also have Polar Bpy, Tellus, Gates, Gear, Kid Q II, Kinetix, Monstress, Shikari, XS and Theena.

among the "usual suspects" of Adventure Era ++ Legionnaires (you know, the ones who typically show up in every canon "Boot ) - we have Imra, Garth, Rokk, Tinya, Lu, Brainy, Lyle, Vi, Chuck, Tenzil, Ayla, Val, Tasmia, Brin, and Wildfire.
