There's an unofficial message board art contest that runs on the Geoff Johns Message Board every couple of weeks; typically its a character Johns writes, but recently this was opened up to all DC Characters and this weeks character for the contest is Umbra/Shadow Lass.

Anyhow, I thought I'd share my entry into the contest with the group:

Hey, she's wearing something!

But seriously folks, that is a very nice piece of art there. Umbra looks arroprietly dark and moody, and to me a tad gothy. Nothing wrong with that mind.

Looks good. Making her a bit gothis seems right somehow.

I actually found it again [I thought for awhile I may have thrown it out] so there's a chance I might actually finish it someday again.

Classy, and with its still being mostly the postboot look, her "goth" aspect comes more from attitude than literal darkness. That's as it should be.
