So if the Doom Patrol is just making their debut (thanks again Byrne) who the heck was Beast Boy adopted by? Whose mansion was he living in all that time? Has this been addressed yet?

In the current (or maybe upcoming, I'm behind in my reading) issue they are supposed to address this.

I'm guessing the retcon will involve the Doom Patrol in his past being replaced by circus folk.

Well, you can't ever have enough heroes raised by circus folk.

If this is true, it's a sure bet that all those circus folk who rasied him will be killed in an upcoming storyline in the next ten years! Circus folk never do well in comics! In fact, it's almost guaranteed!

How would you like Beast Boy's circus folk familly to be murdered? Personally, I want Deathstroke to wipe them all out!

I bet ol' Deathy also has a half-finished novel in a desk drawer....

I bet the circus folk already died, ala the original Doom Patrol's death.

Against the Brother Hood of Evil? I have to admit, I've always had a soft-spot of Mosiuer Mallah and the Brain. It'd be even more fun if they killed the Circus folk!

Maybe it was a super-hero Circus Folk team of the early DC Silver Age that we never even knew about?

And Deathy's novel probably has a lot of cheesy romance in it too...

I'm more partial to Pinky and the Brain. I hope they kill Beast Boy's parents.

Didn't Byrne say he wasn't going to be using Mento?

If so, just insert a suspiciously Doom Patrol-esque group into the timeline with Mento and a Rita Farr clone as core members, of whom most, including the Farr-alike were killed in some manner.

They could just bring in the Doom Patrol from the Pocket Universe to die in place of the original Doom Patrol. That'll buy you a good 4 or 5 years before you'll eventually have to reboot the entire continuity.

Or you could have Beast Boy (from the Heroes Of Lallor) get caught up in a time anomoly along with Insect Queen of Xanthu. They could become Gar's parents and then returned to the EXACT moment they disappeared from the future with no memory of being gone.

Hmm... I was just going to suggest they make Gar a mutant Lallorian from the future!
