As one month has passed by as the whole DCnU's 52 books came out, and you read them all...then suddenly you realized that there is one character who is not coming back and that character is missed greatly by many fans, readers, us, etc. So let's commence to honor those missing or "flashpointed out" characters:

I start with this:

I bid farewll to Wally West. frown

(PS if at any time, if the character makes a comeback or get mentioned, we celebrate! smile

I bid farewell to Donna Troy.

It wasn't that we hardly knew you, so much as we probably knew too many possible variations of you.

I bid farewell to Stargirl.

You were the "young" heart of JSA and an epitome for many "legacy" young heroes, and would someday become one of the great leader.

I bid farewell to Ambush Bug.

Not sure when/if he'll ever get the chance to shine again...not to mention *choke* Cheeks the Toy Wonder!

Active LMB character is still Beast Boy.

I bid farewell to G'nort. He's been nowhere to be seen in "present-day" continuity in years, even during the hellacious GL revival of the past decade. No reason to think he'll show up in the DCnU. frown

Still "Lardy" to my friends!

I bid farewell to Obsidian. He rose from an abusive adoptive home to find a new family with his birth father and sister. He struggled with mental illness and with his identity and ultimately was a happy, well-adjusted gay man with a wonderful partner and was recognized as a worthy successor to his father's legacy.

Good-bye, Todd. I hope you're the same person when they bring you back.

I bid farewell to Pantha's severed head. The chance for a zombie severed head of a Titan has surely passed.

Cyclone, Lightning and Jakeem Thunder. All were young, worthy "successors" to the JSA legacy, and all had such potential...

I bid farewell to Miss America, who, at a time when it was mandated that Wonder Woman could not have been part of the JSA, was retconned into being a member of that illustrious body. This place was later taken by Hippolyta in an even more awkward retcon, resigning poor Miss A to limbo yet again till the Freedom Fighters series a few years back.

farewell to: Shadowpact? seems to me that we have Justice League Dark and Demon Knights ready to take over as sorcery fighters, instead of Shadowpact....so we bid farewell to the following members: Detective Chimp, Nightmaster, Nightshade, Black Alice, and Blue Devil.

Enchantress will appear in JLDark.

I am tempted to create two more threads but decided not to do that, just post here instead....

GOOD RIDDANCE to: Superman's red underwear... lol at least people will finally stop joking about his red "trunk".

and

GOOD to SEE YOU in ACTION, WELCOME BACK: Godiva of JLI...I always thought she had a potential...and now she is ! smile

Truth is, I'd much rather see a beloved character deleted from the comics-verse than have them undergo the sort of asinine, pandering revisions that have befallen Waller and Starfire. At least with a deletion, my last memory could be of them as the embodiment (no pun intended) of coolness. Crappy revisions just leave the all-too-familiar sensation of wanting to T.P. the home and egg the car of whichever twit (or committee of twits) dreamed up these "improvements" in the first place.

I think that it all begins from where the majority saw "thin" Amanda Waller in Smallville TV and they "loved" her appearance so the DC people out there thought it would be "cool" to change her appearance. those TV shows (real-live and cartoon) can ruin the comics character's image...(look at Brave and the Bold, Teen Titans, Young Justice --- last Friday we saw Barbara, Dick, and Bette all three in the same school where Artemis goes)... I kind of feel that the TV and the movie should have honored those comics version, instead of changing into what they want. (look at TV show Wonder Woman...thank god it was cancelled right away when we all saw her horrible costume....)

I dont understand why the comics have to be changed following what s up on TV and movie, instead of vice versa. shudder

back to the topic:

WELCOME BACK, Rac Shade AKA the Changing Man and here's looking forward seeing you in action in JLDark!!

Bid farewell to Zinda Blake, *THE* Lady Blackhawk of them all! frown
