i heard a cartoonist was in the works of designing the characters as well.

The only thing that would make me even happier, would be if he wrote you that he was helping develop the series personally, and was writing episodes...

So the 'toon is for real real? Not for play play?

Oh, PLeeeeeeeeeeeeeeASE let it be aimed mostly at kids, thereby increasing greatly the chances of Matter-Eater Lad & Bouncing Boy being included!!!!!

Tenzil and Chuck were just MADE for 'toon-dom!

Yeah I only hear good things about Mr. Levitz. I worship his Legion...seriously.

I'm excited about Legion cartoon. Ofcourse it will be nothing how I would like my Legion which would be a bit more Robotech than WB but ohwell.

My children will play with Legion Happy Meal toys...

(they of course can't touch my Legion Happy Meal toys, just like they can't play with my Legion PVC set, my Legion action figures, or my Legion Flight Ring...

Can you imagine how many Legion toys there could be????? Time to take out a loan on my house!!!

Oh, and a Legion cartoon would be faboo! Like a groovy superhero, Rhino brings us good news again!

Unfortunately, I don't think Matter-Eater Lad will be included because Standards and Practices will be concerned about small children trying to imitate him. That's purely speculation on my part, however. And they might be concerned about fat kids being teased because of Bouncing Boy, which is also further speculation, but not by much.

True story.

When I interviewed Paul Levitz for the Legion Companion, right after I asked him a semi-tough question about the Legion the line went dead, followed by a dial tone. I called him right back and he answered the question (he either hit a button on his phone or we were accidentially disconnected - I still don't know which) but for about thirty seconds, I was left to wonder if he thought that I had crossed a line and hung up on me. It went like this:

Me: "Why did you blah blah blah?"
Him: Click!

The timing was extremely comical in retrospect, and extremely startling at the time.

More recently, I emailed him some questions about the Seventies Titans for the Titans Companion, and about a week later I got my response. It turns out that he went splunking in his old files to get the right answers. If there's a man who knows what went on at DC back then, it's him!

Bah! Who cares if a handful of less-than-bright kids try to eat rocks?

Not me! It's survival of the fittest baby~

Especially if they're only pop rocks.

But what if they drink Bismola-Cola at the same time?? Won't someone think of the less-than-bright children!!

How will we get the mutant superheroes of the future if we don't expose children to dangerous things?

Hopefully they'll drink Silverale instead; that way they'll only get drunk instead of exploding.

And more likely the husky kids would appreciate a heroic role-model like Bouncing Boy. Trust.

Especially if they hook up with hot chicks like Triplicate Girl!

Therefore, Tenzil and Chuck MUST be insluded in the Legion 'toon. I insist.

You know that there are still people that believe Superheroes arrive in rockets from exploded planets?

Not me. I know that superheroes are made in the bellies of space-whales.
