Just read #3. Great book so far. Ferry's art is perfect for the series. And I'm enjoying Diggle's story. I wouldn't mind seeing these two do a Legion back-up or two.

So, what else has Ferry done in the past? For that matter, what about Diggle?

Diggle has been writing The Losers - story about a group of rogue CIA operatives - or they went rogue after the agency tried to kill them off. It's been a pretty good tale although my interest in it has lagged over the past few issues.

I've never even looked at a copy of The Losers. Is it worth picking up a trade (assuming there is one)?

Ferry did Heroes For Hire and the M-3 Warlock(Douglock) series for Marvel, and Superboy and one of the Superman titles more recently for DC. But this book is leaps and bounds beyond his earlier work... sorta like Olivier's development between Legion Lost and Legion. cool

I personally think Ferry's Heroes for Hire work was awesome, but then went kinda downhill for a few years (more like he just didn't have the right books to show his stuff), but has just exploded with this series. Definately the best work he's ever produced IMO, out of everything of his I've seen.

Warlock and Superboy LOOKED great. I enjoyed Warlock alot-- M-51(Machine Man) was the weakest, but I really liked the Douglock book (all 11 issues frown ) and Leo Manco's Deathlok.

Superboy was weakened by Joe Kelly's writing-- serviceable enough, but it really didn't showcase Pascal's work. I'm SOO glad his work's looking so great on this mini, and hope it turns into an ongoing by Diggle and Ferry! cool

It definitely sounds like Diggle/Ferry is another Waid/Kitson or Farmer/Davis duo. Once together they should not be seperated. laugh

Dingle has also been writing the New Swamp Thing.
I dont like it as much, Adam Strange is written far better

I found this drawing by Pasqual Ferry and I am posting it here because it looks very much like Shadow Lass to me! After seeing this image, I agree with Lightning Lad that it would be great to see Mr. Ferry draw a back-up story in an upcoming isuue of the new Legion series.

Diggle (not Dingle) also writes the Losers, which I currently buy in trade paperback form. It's a good (non-supers) read with great characterisation and striking artwork (well, the first two trades had nice art, anyway - not sure about beyond that).

It -IS- cool. I picked it up today at the Trader when I stopped in to wish Guy happy holidays. smile I read it in between SPACE GHOST 2 and FF 521, and they ALL rocked for different reasons. Fun story, great moral on being a hero, and a letters page! nod

For all the positive word of mouth, sales are still lagging on this. Don't know why.

Especially with the hints that it'll somehow tie into the Big Picture developing next Summer... confused I don't know what else to do to get people to try this. Their loss, really, but I don't want this series (and milieu) to go away! frown

I'm hoping it's just a case of Wait-For-The-Trade-Itis, but there's no way to know.

I want more DC Space Adventure comics, dammit!

This comic kicks serious @$$... Everyone needs to buy it. Everyone needs to read it.

that being said I agree with the out-doorsy one... I want more DC Space Adventure Comics too! Dammit.

Bring back the L.E.G.I.O.N.! and not just in a guest appearance role.

Latest issue had a Durlan in it. Might even be THE Durlan. Makes it an A/R issue.
