Hi. I wasn't sure where to post this. I'm looking for a complete anal-retentive list postboot Legion appearances. I think it was Mike Grabois that had one, but I can't find it anymore. Is he still around?

Also: I didn't know where to post looking for comics, but I desperately need Green Lantern #99. I might also need SHOWCASE '96 #12, but I may have found it. Other than that, I think I might have everything. I even have the entire run of Valor now I think. I love eBay.

God I'd love to have Showcase '96 issues 11 and 12. Those two comics are among a very very few Legion appearances I don't own and in this particular case I haven't even read them.

I sympathize with the compulsion to have them all...all too well, you see I suffer from this particular (peculiar?) affliction too.

I was lucky enough to fill in all the really early stuff with the Digests a long time ago. As much as I'd love to get the Archives I prefer to have actual comics in my grubby little hands.

I'm with you on that YK. I love to have the original one even though I have all the archives and digests as well.

Why are the Showcases so expensive? You mentioned they cost quite a bit when you looked for them at the Con. I picked up the whole set of the Showcases from that time featuring the Legion and it cost me around $5 on eBay.

I looked at the guys with the 2'tirds off sale and Showcase'96 #11 was 20 bucks (Canadian) and #12 was 30 bucks (Canadian). They're really not THAT expensive but I was on a shoestring budget anyway. All I could do was try really really hard not to cry.

I really have to start a paypal account so I can bid on e-bay one of these days. I'm amazed at the bargains you guys keep coming up with.

YK, do you only need #11 and #12? The Legion appeared in a few others over those couple of years.

In the 96 series they were in #8 and #10 as well as #11 and #12. And in the 95 series they appeared in #6. I could look for all of them if you'd like.

'm pretty sure those are the only ones I'm missing. That's the three part Brainiac story right? I got the first part then moved far far away from my regular comic shop and it was a long time before I could get back to it. The local shop here in Rednecksburg only gets a single copy of the Legion for a different customer and for some reason he refuses to order a second copy unless I agree to subscribe too his list and order at least 4 more comics a month.
Granted, I buy more than those 4 comics a month but I will NOT be strongarmed into a subscription list. I insist on the right to buy or not buy what I please ...but that's a side issue. Sorry.

I'd have to dig my comic boxes out of the storage shed to double check but like I said I'm pretty sure those are the only issues I'm missing.

Oops. I thought I was asking for the electronic copy of the Mayfair Sourcebook rather than the Legion Completist List.

Yep. I'll go get the comic boxes and start comparing what I've got to what I need, then I'll start reading them. After I start reading them I'll start thinking about them. Once I start thinking about them I'll dig out some more and read those too...and wind up thinking some more, then reading some more...and well, you get the idea.
