With Gim Allon now a giant from a land of giants named Micro Lad, and Salu Digby a heroine named Atom Girl, presumably from a race of Lilliputians, who has thus far preferred to stay hidden, it seems WAK are turning traditional Legionnaire powers on their heads.
Who else might be getting this approach?
PRINCESS PROJECTRA-- a poor little ugly girl gains the ultimate wish-fulfillment power and constantly projects a powerful, tall, beautiful 'princess' illusion about herself, which she lives 24-7.
PHANTOM GIRL-- yep, she's really dead and is helpfully 'haunting' the Legion.
SUN BOY/NIGHT GIRL-- by day, he's a solar-powered hottie hero... by night, she's a super-strong vigilante. When does h/she sleep? This Carggite mutant has a unique split brain... Sun Boy's asleep while Night Girl roams and vice versa.
DREAM GIRL-- Projectra's twin sister-- the pair was separated at birth. She lives the life of wealth and luxury, but projects a solid version of herself while asleep.
ELEMENT LAD-- based on the costume, he's a walking periodic chart. Like the Tattoed Man, he points to a symbol of an element and is able to transform an object into that element.
Anybody else?
As for the direction as a whole... I wonder if any of these heroes will have the same 'civilian' names we're used to? Perhaps they're a Substitute Legion that has arisen in the absence of the 'real' thing...
