Still thinking about some of this.... This four-parter was a good closure to the run, full of compassion, mending broken relationships, personal growth and acceptance, with enough open-ended sub-plots to feel like it didn't have to be the end.

Oh - don't get me wrong, FC! Feel free to keep the discussion going! I just wanted to make sure I said a proper thanks to y'all for putting up with my comments and contributing some great discourse.

And you make a great point - the final four-parter was a turning point as much as the initial Robotica issue was at the end of Legionnaires. It was a change in style and tone, that closed some of the loops that had been open for years at that point.

It didn't have to be the end for sure. But that's water under the bridge. In fact, part of me wishes I had waited to start my fic writing to pick up from here, as there are some interesting threads to pick up from here as well as the couple dozen that PMS and DnA left hanging.
