Thank you, Sarky! I just couldn't believe no one had ever written an exchange like that between Gim and someone else in more than 50 years of the Legion!
As for the art itself, it's something of a milestone for me because it's the first time I've done a sequential page at 6.5 by 10 instead of 10 by 15. I recently read a late-in-life interview with Alex Toth where he said that he had come to prefer drawing that way, because the artist sacrifices detail in favor of a greater amount of control over the composition. Other artistic inspirations include Colleen Doran's work on Valor, Dave Cockrum and Michael Netzer and Pat Broderick and Mike Grell, the sci-fi art of Wallace Wood and Al Williamson and Paul Gulacy and Steve Rude. And, of course, the eternal cornerstone of my style is John Buscema (along with his most talented emulators, such as Steve Epting, Claudio Castellini, Kerry Gammill, Keith Pollard, Greg LaRocque, Greg Capullo, Mark Bagley, and Dan Jurgens.) Oh, also the late, great, obscure-to-most-Americans Ron Smith. And, naturally, the unattainable godhead of Legion artists, the late and great Steve Lightle!
Love the giant tryptic formed by 5,6 and 7! Evillo had barely a moment, before being upstaged! Haha .... and I love the little details in Shadow Woman's armor. Nice job! (and what did Lu have to say to Superboy?? (other than "Take me with you!"))
Thanks, GL. That's just the feeling I'm going for, something bright and feel-good (though there will be some dark moments later.)

Glad to hear. She's going to be the heart of the overarching storyline (and I probably should mention that it's only a single, finite story, like a very long Elseworlds.)

Always happy to revisit the classic Legion. You must be having fun with this!
Thank you, FC. I am, without exaggeration, having the time of my life! I was saying to my parents the other day, this story is exactly the stuff I'd have written & drawn as a kid if they'd raised me on the Legion instead of the Disney ducks.

Only the Superboy silhouette. I'm not good at posting images off the web, but I'm sure Google could easily find you the classic Mac Raboy drawing of Captain Marvel Junior flying in profile.

Thank you, Drake. That was a very satisfying artistic challenge to meet. While I was doing Page 6, my black markers actually dried up and I had to go get new ones. That's why Page 7 looks especially sharp (that, and, of course, because Tasmia is my favorite Legionnnaire.)

Tee hee. I almost feel sorry for Evillo. Shadow Woman's attack is only the tip of the iceberg of what I've got planned for the sad old devil.

LOL Good guess. Actually, she wanted to invite him to the ice cream parlor (which now features 900 flavors from 90 planets.) Will he stay loyal to Lana? Well, of course he will, he's Superboy! But Lu doesn't give up so easily. Stay tuned.
