I don't remember any of this. Bonus! As I think I mentioned the last Legion comic I had was the end of the White Triangle War and it was a long time before I got hold of the rest, so while I am familiar with some of the outcomes most of the rest has only been read once. It's almost like reading it for the first time. Yay!
Having said that I found these two issues - alright - not bad. Maybe I was expecting something more and so was a little disappointed. Still it has a lot of good in it and I am still enjoying it. The steps in the story of Vi's increasing succumbing to the Eye, Kinetix reactions to the whole thing, the threat of the Emerald Legion, Imra's breaking free and then leading the "reserves" in the form of Inferno, Tinya and Shvaughn, the tussle between Zoe and Vi, and especially Vi's final revelation of the consequences of her actions, these are all great. it just feels like they could have been put together a little better. Still a good story even if I knew where it was heading.
I was thinking about the comments of the Eye being behind Vi's growing confidence and whether that was a detriment to the character. The thing is it seem that the Eye didn't actually do anything except give her more confidence in herself. Vi still achieved all of those victories. However that confidence came about, it was still Vi that did it. I only hope when this is all over that she realises that herself. Probably a good lesson for us all.
