Building a giant lake in my backyard so I may better install a small Cat Island.

You can put fish in the bit surrounding the island. I remember Burroughs, a cat from way back when I was with my folks, coming home with lots of rather expensive looking fish. It was quite a while until we heard someone mention missing fish, and we knew exactly where his supply was from; a near neighbour's pond. They had a nice largish (for our neck of the woods) pond, with a little island in the middle of it too. Burroughs was told in no uncertain terms what a rascal he was, and given a congratulatory extra rub for his hunting prowess.

We used to blame our next-door neighbor's gray tabby for the disappearance of my dad's beloved koi from the backyard pond. But at some point we realized the real culprits were a couple of good-sized frogs. (Dad forgave them.) We kids thought it was a great sport to crouch down behind the rocks and the vinca around the pond, to sneak up on the frogs when they sunned and try to touch one before it could spot us and leap into the pond. I don't think we ever won this game, Heh. But we never gave up. (At least, we never gave up until we were too tall to crouch effectively anymore.)

Did they inspire Roy Harper's Great Frog?

If it's about Roy Harper, I always begin to think it's something dirty and smarmy

It's an Eternal thread now. I thought we had to wait on Ibby to lock it up.

I don't think I've read Kirby's The Eternals.

I used to have a couple of the reprint issues someone gave me. They're probably still in my Mom's storage unit in New Jersey. In the same row of boxes as my Legion comics.

Most of mine are in my parent's loft. I've got most of the legions and other favourites here. Eventually I'm going to have to have a plan to sell a lot of them. Just to clear the space.

I'm slowly planning to fly my Legion collection over here. Next time I go home I'm taking an extra small suitcase...

I just received a half ripped open parcel through the mail today. It was in a bag with apologies from royal mail. 2 film/rpg mags didn't make it. That's the first eBay package that's gone wrong for me out of a few hundred. What's slightly annoying is that the seller didn't do combined packaging, but still crammed all 5 into the same envelope, which probably burst from having too much in it.
I mention this as I was wondering about shipping your Legion comics from home.

Some of my co-workers are obsessed with jamming huge amounts of paper into standard-size envelopes. Drives me nuts.
Somebody ordered me to do this today. Looking forward to being blamed if the damn thing bursts en route and someone's important estate documents show up at their door looking like dry cole slaw.
