oof....all I had was superheroines who have gone from having two codenames to one (eg: Dream Girl to Dreamer, Shadow Lass to Umbra etc) but in hindsight that excludes a couple others who would fit that category so I dunno!

You actually have it raz - or close enough - it’s female Legionnaires who got a new code name in the Reboot!
Ayla got Spark
Vi got Leviathan for a bit
And Umbra and Dreamer
I left off Sensor because some people argue Projectra and Sensor are different Legionnaires, Shikari because of course. The other females either were new to the Reboot (and never changed code names) or had their code name debut in the SW6 era

I remember there was a Girls' Night Out type story in v2/v3, where four female Legionnaires beat up some crooks... but I think it was Projectra, not Phantom Girl, who was there...
hmm what about... Adventure-era female Legionnaires who dated, but didn't marry, male Legionnaires? but then, Supergirl should also be here, drat. and Tasmia did marry Lar while he was on life support...
i'm stuck lol

If it helps, it's more about something they have in common across all reboots (not counting Elseworlds and random cameo appearances from alternate realities etc)

Next clue (well maybe more of a refining of the first clue):
when I say it is something they have in common across all reboots, I am only comparing them to other female Legionnaires who have also appeared in every boot as well (ie: only looking at female Legionnaires who have been in the classic, reboot, threeboot, retroboot AND Bendisboot Legions) - so that should narrow down the pool of characters to compare them to anyway!
