You know what, I'll take it! I had Legionnaires who joined the team under a mystery identity but that's close enough! The full list was: Mon-El = Marvel Lad (although now that I think about it, did Marvel Lad actually join? That might be my bad, oops!) Element Lad = Mystery Lad Star Boy = Sir Prize Dream Girl = Miss Terious Supergirl = Unknown Boy ...and Jeckie as Sensor Girl All yours, stile!

Thanks raz that's generous. I was so close. I had forgotten about Sir Prize and Miss Terious, thinking instead how Nura had arranged her audition and enrolment for hidden reasons. With Sun Boy I was thinking how we first met him as an imposter pretending to be him. Great pick for a group. Marvel Lad perfectly valid I think. He reveals his true identity just before being officially inducted but after being accepted so close enough.
New one up soon.

Both of you can guess the connection.
Well this is powering ahead. I will add the important clue that all 6 legionnaires have now been guessed.

Hmm the first six Legionnaires to join via open tryouts?
Although Brainiac 5 tried out, Supergirl was invited to…
And if I remember right, Lyle didn’t try out per se, he was “haunting” the clubhouse.

Not what I was thinking of. It does relate closely to Supergirl, and (kind of) all the way back to Adventure 247.

I bet they're the six Legionnaires that the computer decided Supergirl would have the most fun kissing (aka I am stumped!)

Legionnaires who first appeared during the Supergirl story? I seem to remember Sun Boy, Vi and Bouncing Boy shown as applicants then, and maybe the other three first appeared as members then too

Close enough Ibby. Yes those 6 legionnaires did first appear in Supergirl stories. That would also include Brainiac 5 but there is one other feature common between the 6 and not Brainy.
In particular remember that there were two stories of Supergirl applying to join the LSH, first in Action Comics 267 where she was rejected due to Red Kryptonite ageing her past the age limit, and second in Action Comics 276 (don't get those numbers mixed up) when she ended up being accepted alongside Brainiac 5. Both issues had homages to the original LSH story in Adventure Comics 247.
In ADV 247 there is a panel where Superboy is sitting at a table in LSH HQ being introduced to three legionnaires also at the table with their super powers written on cards in front of them. (Their names were conveniently on their costumes, a consideration that was quickly dropped in future appearances.) Here the three are of course Lightning Boy (Lad), Saturn Girl, and Cosmic Boy.
In ACT 267 Supergirl is seen sitting at table in LSH HQ being introduced to three other legionnaires "who inherited their powers from their parents from other worlds" with their powers and names on cards in front of them. These three are Chameleon Boy, Colossal Boy, and Invisible Kid.
In ACT 276 Supergirl is again seen sitting at a table in LSH HQ (Same table? Is this some standard LSH ritual?) being introduced to three legionnaires with their powers and names on cards in front of them. These three are Shrinking Violet, Bouncing Boy, and Sun Boy, although the speech from Cosmic Boy (who does the introductions in all cases) suggests that they are only Legion applicants at this stage and must have been accepted at some time between this issue and their next appearance.
So yes the six legionnaires were all introduced in one of Supergirl's two attempts to join the Legion applications, by being seen sitting at the Introductions Table with its convenient power and name place cards.
Your turn Ibby.
