^^
After reading this excellent eulogy, I'm more ashamed and regretful than ever that I never learned to properly appreciate him while he was alive. The Ballad of Halo Jones was a work I enjoyed much more for Alan Moore's script than for Gibson's art (how was I to know that Gibson had tweaked and improved Moore's work?) And Sam Slade Robo-Hunter was never a favorite of mine, largely because I found the look of the series too comedic. Then, of course, Gibson had the misfortune of being tainted in the eyes of ignorant American readers like myself because of DC's awful Millennium event.

Ah, well, at least there's lots of stuff for me to discover (Star Wars Droids is at the top of my list.)

Rest in peace, Mr Gibson, and sorry again I didn't appreciate you in your lifetime.

Still "Fickles" to my friends.
