Mark "MD" Bright was reported to have passed away last week peacefully at the age of 68.

He worked on titles such as Iron Man, Black Panther, Quantum and Woody, and co-created Milestone's Icon and Rocket with Dwayne MacDuffie.

Thanks for the link Sarky.

I don't remember a lot of artists names but I remember his. His DC credits include quite a lot of Batman and Green Lantern amongst many others.

He even has a couple of Legion connections, being the penciller for the first 4 issues of Valor, as well as the flashback story of Lyle and Condo in LSH v3 #59 "Ghosts on the Clubhouse".

Bright was my kind of artist -- clean, versatile, and accessible.

He was affectionately known as "Doc," a pun on his first and middle initials, MD.

In addition to all the work for DC that Stile mentioned, and the more left-field work Sarky mentioned, it's worth noting that Doc drew "The Armor Wars," overwhelmingly considered one of the greatest Iron Man stories ever published (credit where it's due, the trippy epilogue was drawn by Barry Windsor Smith.) Doc also drew the lead feature in the first dozen issues of "Solo Avengers." There, his work was somewhat compromised by the limited page count, but it was never less than solid.

We'll miss you, Doc. Rest in peace, and thank you for all the fun times.

Still "Fickles" to my friends.
