I really liked the colorized Dawny pic that Grey recently posted for me, but I had wondered what it might have looked like with a different background. So, I found a background I liked, added the black and white version of the Perez pic and colorized it. I kinda like the end result.

Niagara! Where the air's so thick with humidity that even a Homo sapiens pterylae (wings, but no superpowers) could hover forever. Also one of the few tourist sights likely to look very little different in 3003. Nice choice.

Thanks. My only real concern was that it might look a little off, what with a drawn figure and a real background, but I don't think it looks too bad. Unfortunately, I couldn't find any good digital nature scenes that might have flowed better, but oh well

Now that I take another look ... your digitally airbrushing away the industrial structures that are immediately above her head on the horizon might help, by removing a distraction.

The original background picture was actually quite a bit wider, but I tried to position her to avoid as many things as I could. A little farther to the left and there were people by a railing, and a little farther to the right and there was pesky type. I kinda saw the industrial stuff, but then figured that I'd pretend it was just a futuristic city. I was getting tired!

That's really nice, Princess. I think the drawing blends very well with the background. It makes me want to either go swimming or flying. I can't decide which.

White. A blank page or canvas. His favorite. So... many... possibilities.
