here's the ORIGINAL version of page 21 of "THE LEGION" #14 !!! the final issue by Olivier Coipel !!! and this how CUB's clothing could have looked .... check out the printed copy to see the difference !!! it's a SHAME really, i could have been in PRINT in my favourite comic, for all enternity !!!  ![[Linked Image]](http://mywebpage.netscape.com/tbwUltraPowers/ultra-b-family.jpg) Matthew.

why did they change it? I think it would be cool if comics creators incorporated some of their most avid fans into the books.

I never checked issue 14-- did Andy correct Cub's toe count???

I have to agree with Arachne, this is the first Coipel drawing I've seen sans ink and it's beautiful! The faces look much more elegant and the detail in Tinya's hair seems a lot better than I remember in the final copy.  As for Cub's toes, perhaps his first brush with heat vision went a little disasterous?  And yeah, it's a definite shame that your name was removed Matthew. You think they'd let Coipel do whatever subtle homages he wanted in his final issue. I sure miss his pencils after seeing this gorgeous piece!

OLIVIER's pencilled work does look great doesn't it !!! i think JO look very handsome !!! and i really do miss his work on The Legion !!! even though i really like his Avengers issues !!! i think his style really worked in a FUTURE setting !!! Eeewww, yeah -- what the heck is up with that??? And I imagine they had to change it -- everyone would've thought "Matt" was the baby's name or something.

Very striking drawing.
In the original, I thought the little tyke was drooling, but here it looks like his skin/body parts are flowing together. Yet another power?

well, I think that Apparition is the easiest Legionnaire to be drawn....Many artists I have seen tends to make the best Tinya than any legionnaires...(Moder's, Moy's, Janes', Grell's, etc etc...) Apparition looks BEST with straight hair than curly hair. Miss Coipel, too.

I think it would have been cool to have named the baby "Matt". Much better than "Cub."
