TENZIL KEM: As all of you know, Earth… the United Planets… the entire Universe has been through some tremendous events lately. Reality itself was nearly torn apart during the recent temporal crisis. This follows upon the heels of other great crises, beginning with the so-called Magic Wars a few years back and the ensuing economic chaos of the Great Collapse. The takeover of Earth by Dominion-backed parties and Earth’s subsequent secession from the United Planets was a great blow to galactic stability. Over the past year the Legion of Super-Heroes worked to free Earth from Dominion control, but the unexpected price was the destruction of the planet itself. We evacuated as many survivors as we could, but too many lives were lost. Through the efforts of Earth’s President Troy Stewart, we were able to bring a dead Earth from an alternate universe to re-settle the survivors. But this process was interrupted by the combined efforts of two of the U.P.’s greatest enemies…. Mordru the Merciless and Glorith of Baaldur, whose combined efforts to re-shape reality were stopped by the Legion, but only with great cost to our team. Honestly we are still sorting out exactly who we lost, and what has happened to all of our members and former members who participated in the battle. Some of you may be wondering about the younger version of the Legion that appeared during the liberation of Earth. To make a long story short, they were duplicates of us created by the Time Trapper, and stabilizing reality required re-combining the older and younger versions of the team into single individuals, which has had some interesting effects on some of our members.

TENZIL KEM: Many of you have reported experiencing curious symptoms over the past few days, from memory loss to déjà vu to things that just seem inconsistent with the way you remember them. Brainiac Five is investigating these phenomena, and thus far it seems to be a perfectly normal outcome of reality resetting itself. The simple fact is that things may not be exactly as you remember them being before the Crisis, but this is nothing to panic about. At this very moment, Legion founders Rokk Krinn and Garth and Imra Ranzz are meeting with R. J. Brande, President Stewart, and the United Planets Council to develop the best response to the numerous challenges that are face in regards to stabilizing things in the light of recent events. We have already dispatched a team to the Sorceror’s World of Tharn to deal with the situation there. A further team is helping to deliver food and other essential supplies from the Manna system to those worlds whose necessities seem to have mysteriously disappeared during the Crisis in Time. Together with Science Police Chief Erin here, the Legion is also working to deal with any emergencies that arise from the resettling of Old Earth cities on the New Earth. Everything seems to be going as smoothly as could be expected, but we want everyone to know that we are here to help you. The big difference between current events and the Great Collapse of a few years ago was that the Legion itself was weakened and falling apart at that time, and we were not nearly as effective as we should have been in dealing with events. But now, the Legion is back. It’s the beginning of a new era for our team, as well as for Earth and the rest of the universe, and we are ready to meet whatever challenges come our way.
