The Flips!
What's up with Garth?
Donna's cute, but why is her behind not fully behind her costume? She is maybe 13 here. Disapprove!

Artwork was great. This is some good stuff. I like that the Titans seemed to be 13 or so. Good intro to everything...

A lot of fun, but I expected more story for a six issue series. I had forgotten that Aqualad was originally afraid of fish. The creative team really seemed to capture the fun and impatience of adolecence, and I hope for more story next time. I'm going to pick up all six!

Read # 1 last night, enjoyed it.
I was originally hoping they would go all Vertigo, do something nuts, real BRAT PACK (the miniseries) with the TTs, but I'm now glad they didn't.
This almost looks like an expansion/update of Groovy 70s TT 53, which featured the then-secret REAL origin of the TTs. where the Antithesis had made all their adult counterparts go bad.
It as weird to see Hot-Pants and Flasher IMing, but these kind of updates will help quell TPBTs urges to kill off the sidekicks in order to keep the main heroes young, so I say for it. Let's see Speedy drinking STARBUCKS and showing off his new picture phone next.

So I got issue 2 and I thought was very amusing. Having never read the true origin of the TT I think this will be amusing.
The art is very cool, I knew it was great since I got to see the finished art at a Karl Kerschl appearance late last summer.

"You can only spend 60 minutes out of water. Your lungs aren't developed."
Has this bit that Aquaman said to Garth been 'told' to us before? If so, I missed it or it went over my head.
I think it's a pretty elegant explanation for something that was always pretty silly.
That and the depictions of the undersea critters made the issue for me. Oh, and the last panel.
I'm enjoying this mini even more than I thought I would-- weird looking thirteen-year-old Titans and all.

I really enjoyed the first issue--what there was of it. It moved so quickly, I figure they'll have their first meeting 2 pages after the end of issue 6.
...but you don't have a moment where you're sitting there staring at a table full of twenty-five characters with little name signs that say, "Hi, my superpower is confusing you!"

The artist Stephane Peru has passed away suddenly at the age of 26. See the link - http://forum.newsarama.com/showthread.php?t=146444 quite sad to see his potential talent artwork died with him before reaching to the greatness.

I read TTY1 3-4 last night... the end to the Antithesis story was kind-of anticlimactic. And the re-telling of the Ant tale with a modern spin also fell a little flat, though I enjoyed seeing the Flips again!
Is it just me, or are they trying to gay-up teen Garth a little bit? He seems a little old to still be in the "scared of girls" stage... or maybe not... since Wonder Girl could smash them all to smithereens if she wanted.
I wouldn't have minded the Donna "cry a river" scene in TTGo, but it seemed WAY out of place here.
Don't mean to be Complainey... I'm going to finish out the mini, I'm overall enjoying it well enough, maybe all-new tales would have been the way to go.

Feh. Finished this last night. I probably could have used the $18 for something else.
