I just found out today that at some point before Leap Day, I have to leave the country and return to finish some paperwork so I can stay through April.
I'll probably go to France!
Well, St. Pierre, a nearby French island, anyway.

Some of my Christmas cards are tan. A was using one to try out different ink colors, to see what showed up best. And now I can't find it. Which makes me wonder who I sent a card full of scribbles to...

So, I'm on a crowded subway train. There is a woman standing next to me chatting away to her companion. Over the loudspeaker, the driver announces that the train had been re-routed and that the next stop would be the last stop. The announcement is made a second time. We arrive in the station. The train has just stopped, but the doors had not yet opened. The woman says out loud "This is our stop." and starts to push by me. I said to her with a little annoyance in my voice "This is all our stop." The doors opened and people started to exit. The woman says (to my back because I turned to exit) "Well you don't have to have an attitude!"
I wish I had turned to her and said "Well, you didn't have to try to push your way out especially if you had listened to the announcement." It was probably better not to have said that.

Quis, public transportation in Boston is getting horrible! Just today my favorite aunt, Pollyanne, was there doing charity work (she's involved in an organization that places seeing eye puppies with blind orphans) and "some" guy on the subway tripped her as she attempted to exit. He then shouted at her, "HA, that's what you get you deaf old bitty! Don‘t even think about suing me because I‘m a lawyer, HA!", before he stormed out and kicked a Salvation Army Santa.
The poor dear (she's eighty seven) is still traumatized.
