Stephen Hawkings (or Hawkins) appeared on Star Trek NG, once.
He played a hologram of himself playing poker with Data, Einstein and Newton, I think.
Einstein and Newton didn't play themselves.
Of course.

I read Stephen Hawkin's "The History of Time" when I was 14. I thought it was really awesome, but I'm certain I hardly understood most the concepts fully. I still have my friends copy actually...I should reread it.

The rabbit. I did feel sorry for it and I never killed another animal. My Dad's a hunter and I just never had the gene I guess.

I once ran into John Shea (Lex Luthor on Lois & Clark) at a Manhattan pub years ago.

The childhood friend Exnihil never had.

The last poem at the bad poetry reading tonight was entitled "I Whooped the Mighty Thor's Ass" by Wesley Willis.

Mighty Thor thought he was bad
He was busy harassing my girlfriend
He was making fun of her
He called her a stupid bitch

I whooped Mighty Thor's ass
I whooped Mighty Thor's ass
I whooped Mighty Thor's ass
I whooped Mighty Thor's ass

Mighty Thor tried to hit my girlfriend
He tried to hit her with a baseball bat
Suddenly I took a rubber hose to him
I flogged this rubber and beat the hell out of him

I whooped Mighty Thor's ass
I whooped Mighty Thor's ass
I whooped Mighty Thor's ass
I whooped Mighty Thor's ass

Mighty Thor got mad at me and knocked me to the floor
I got back up and knocked Mighty Thor to the floor
Suddenly, I told Mighty Thor to get his simple ass up
I told him to get out of my face before I bust his head

I whooped Mighty Thor's ass
I whooped Mighty Thor's ass
I whooped Mighty Thor's ass
I whooped Mighty Thor's ass

That person obviously attended Tarik the Mute's poetry seminars, which we used to hold here on Legion World.

Never wear a red shirt to Target.

The only character in all of literature who has been described as "badnass" while using the phrase "vile miscreant."

See, you could have asked for a tip. Then, when they complained to the manager, you could say, "I don't work here!"

I worked at a grocery store many moons ago. For years afterward, I would habitually straighten displays while shopping with my wife. I frequently heard her hiss "STOP IT!"

Lady Cobalt and I might be getting a puppy in the next two weeks. If so, I'll be posting more about it. (Lady Cobalt initiated it)

The National Forensic Academy first started out as the National Forensics Academy. Because of the "s", people often confused it's purpose of crime scene investigation study for a focus on speech and debate.

It's a school exclusive to members of the law enforcement agencies. They have a program of applied science, teaching a nationally recognized method of detailing crime scenes.

I've managed to get a copy of their course program. It's interesting. And I'm a little concerned.

Just spouting off.

The Sark general election, 2008, held on 10 December 2008, was the first election held in the Channel Island of Sark under a new constitutional arrangement. Sark is thereby the last European territory to abolish feudalism in 2008.

Every time I see this thread title, I have a desire to sing it to the tune of Def Leppard's "Pour Some Sugar On Me."

I don't know if it's completely random as, indeed, I am quoting the poster above me... but:

As a teen, I lost my... umm... innocence... while that song played (and have laughed at that fact ever since).

[notrandom]

Hey, Ex, At least it didn't happen while "The Jeffersons" was on. *

(A free cookie to the first comic book geek who recognizes this reference. Hint: It's not the Legion, unless I really haven't been paying attention.)

[/notrandom]

I just listened to the new cd from The Tiptons . Damn good stuff. (Picked it up at their wonderful show late last week, on a double bill with the also-excellent Blue Cranes .)

Mmmmm... brass + drums = Wintry bliss.
