I plan to pay off one of my two student loans in December with my Christmas bonus, after 7 years of paying thus far. The other one will go a bit further. Its going to feel pretty damn good when it happens. I paid my own way through college...paying them off eventually will be like a slap in the face "to the man" in some way.

I add fresh vegetables and herbs to a bottled sause, then rinse the jar out with milk and add it to the sause.

Milk is so good at taking any bitterness out of the tomatoes.

When I post graemlins, I usually just pick a random character and try it to see if there actually is a graemlin. There is about 97.5% of the time.

I was five, travelling alone from Boston to Phoenix, AZ, when our plane had to make an emergency landing, and we had to exit the plane on a big inflatable slide that came out of the plane, because we landed somewhere the drive-up ladders couldn't get to.

All the grown-ups were freaking out, but it was the funnest thing ever! A plane ride and a slide!

Of course my mom was insane when I got home. Apparently, another plane crash-landed and she read the flight number wrong and thought that was the plane I was on...

I wonder if all or most rental cars smell like cigarette smoke, my having had limited experience with them

I use them quite a bit and the answer is, 90% of the time they don't! One time my boss made them go get another one because of the smell though. The cigarette smell in cars is awful. I don't allow smoking and eating in my car.
