It's too bad the board automatically displays each poster's current screen name, avatar, and sig next to all posts, regardless of the time they were made -- it would really increase the nostalgia factor if old posts looked exactly like they did at the time they were posted.

I wondered about that too, but with people constantly changing names and avatars, it might make things even more confusing. It's hard to believe that LW has actually been around long enough to invoke nostalgia. It makes me feel . . . iconic.

I also discovered, when bumping old threads last night, that I remember some posts (and the circumstances I was in when I made them) with great clarity, whereas I have no recollection at all of making certain other posts.
It's funny the way memory works...
