I hearby declare that this thread shall exist exclusively for debating the sociological and physiomorphic mating habits of the Jovian Camophlant!

I don't know if this can be stolen as you are giving it away. Theft is the taking of someone else's property with the intention of permanently depriving that person of it. Your consent to the thread being taken would be a defense to a charge of theft.

That's a tad esoteric for my tastes. Couldn't we just bitch about the weather instead?

Ah, but when Jovian Camophants mate, it affects the weather. Or have you never been caught in a hail storm?

That's exactly what it is. Hail = giant frozen sperm from space.
I thought everybody knew that.

Now, See, I could never have come up with topic Ideas like that...
And Quis, if by your definition, I had stolen a copy of Abby Hoffman's Book "Steal this Book!" I couldn't have been persecuted, Right?

If, however, you had bathed the book in giant space sperm, thatwould have gotten you arrested. It's still illegal in 23 States.

And Quis, if by your definition, I had stolen a copy of Abby Hoffman's Book "Steal this Book!" I couldn't have been persecuted, Right? I wouldn't try it. Although Hoffman did name the book "Steal this Book", he was not the owner of the physical book. The book store would be the owner of the book. (Technically as I don't want to get into the whole distribution systems for books and comic books) So unless the book seller said "Go ahead and take a copy!" you would still be stealing and would not have the defense of consent. We actually spent time in school talking about how, when retail stores first appeared, there was the question of if a store keeper handed you an item to examine, was he "giving" it to you and it became your possession. It seems silly in our commercial society, but at the time it was a legitimate question.

The Grammararianites
There (should have been they're but I wanted to stay in step with the new theme of this thread) a group of Militant Grandma's from the Upper Penninsula who don't think Space Sperm should be discussed in public forums.
I had a nasty run in with them a few years back when they found out I wanted to poirchase a Stacked -n- Packed Calendar from G Gordon Liddy. Turns out they were just mad because there pictures were all rejucted. Anyways....

I beg to differ, minesurfer. I do belive you have confused the Grammararianites with the Mammarianites. The Mammarianites are the group of militant Grandma's whereas the Grammararianites are a group of militant ex-fifth and sixth grade teachers of grammar (mostly nuns).
And then of course there is that infamous splinter group, the Syntaxians, that originated within the Grammararianites but are even more wildly militant.

Seriously, hit the back-issue bins!
In MAJOR BUMMER, you'll discover:
1) If aliens like macaroni & cheese
2) What happens when a REAL cat gets super-powers (not a FAKE cat like Streaky or Whizzy)
3) How a little old lady who's enamored of the past reacts when she gains the power to foretell the future
4) The difference between geek-o and the Gecko
5) What John Arcudi was doing before ihs excellent stint on DOOM PATROL
6) and much much more!

Oh I know THAT from personal experience. My kitty has super powers and uses them against me every day (particularly when she wants to be fed!)

Hey Lash, I tried to pick up all the issues to Major Bummer, but everytyme I went to get them some member of the Grammararianites or the Mammarianites picked up the last copy. Damn militants.
I actually had a copy in my hands once, but the pages were stuck together and their was Jovian Camophlant paw prints all over the cover. I mean really, who knew that Major Bumbler was such a turn on for the Campholant?
After that I just gave up on the idea of ever completing a run of Major Bumbler.

Can we talk about the series "Young Heroes in Love" that cancelled a few years back? I don't have much to say about it, but can we at least be allowed to talk about it?

I did a bunch of hand-washing today and ran out of drip-dry space in the laundry room.
So I'm hanging a bunch of fine woolens and silks on this thread over night. I'll put them away first thing tomorrow morning, I promise.

Robbie Dupree had a hit with Steal Away . I'm convinced that he stole the piano melody from The Doobie Brothers' "What a Fool Believes."

80s cartoon writer Donald F. Glut would steal his own plots while freelancing for competing TV shows:
Transformers, "Dinobot Island" = GoBots, "Dawn World."
GoBots, "Fitor to the Finish" = Centurions, "Hacker Must Be Destroyed."

When I say the magic word, this thread morphs into a good-looking raincoat with a special lining made only on Vyrga. On rainy Sundays, I can go down to the Yuppiemart, find the table full of glitzy party snacks (mini-chocolate bottles full of liqueur, Alder wood-smoked salmon, Vermont cheese crackers, Panettone in those cute little red boxes, etc). Once the staff is off serving other customers, I just press a special button on the belt of my raincoat, and... You know the rest. [evil laugh]
