What two comic book titles would you take with you If you were stranded on a desert island ... forever .... (entire runs)
Mine would be (after much agonizing)
1) uncanny x-men
2) JLI ( hopefully that includes 'I can't believe it's not the JLA' and 'Formally known as the JL')
I will really be missing the LSH on my desert island especially the giffen run and the 5YL stories.
What are the two titles you would take if you were stranded on a desert island?

The only character in all of literature who has been described as "badnass" while using the phrase "vile miscreant."

Just 2, full runs? LSH is a great choice because there are sooooooo many issues. So definitely LSH, including all LSH-related minis and spinoffs (even Wanderers, LOL). And I'll be needing some laughs, so I will go with JLI too. JLI not only includes the follow up minis you mention, PB, but also its sister title Justice League Europe. NO issues post-Giffen though... not interested.

1. LSH 2. Astro City (I could pass the time imagining more stories about all those wonderful characters)

2 is really hard (for me) If I had three I'd be fine .... LSH of course ... then I would't want to get OFF the island for about a year.

LSH and Spider-Man; for me that's a no-brainer. But I could easily pick 10 runs.

I was thinking after my post, I could probably take 10, and not just 5 titles with me. None of us wants to pick just one,two titles ... we all fell in love with comic(S)... plural... not just 1, or 2.

If we took more than two titles, we'd never get off our butts and crack some coconuts.

These are gonna be stored in some airconditioned, mold repelling and watertight container or room(preferably), right? With lots of cold drinks. lol
*LSH - every single appearance in any comic *X-MEN - ditto.
A singin' and a dancin' along the way.

Good grief, did I kill this thread?
I agree Dreadstar's pretty obscure, but I know there's lots of Young Justice fans here at LW.

I can't imagine taking any comics series with me if I were going to be on a deserted island forever. It would get old reading the same stories over and over, and the temptation to supplement the firewood would be great . . .
But if I have to choose (and am allowed some liberty in interpreting the term "entire runs"), then I'll pick:
1. The preboot Legion up to and including 5YL 2. The Incredible Hulk series from 1968 to whenever
I have not read most of the latter, so it would be fresh. I picked up a couple of back issues recently (226 and Annual 13) and surprisingly enjoyed them.

Oooo, He Who, the Hulk from 331 to 426 is consistently excellent. And that run is being collected in a series of trades titled Hulk Visionaries: Peter David.

Hmm... if a complete run of Superman included Superboy, Jimmy Olsen, and Lois Lane, I'd definitely be tempted by that! Plus, if I ever *did* get rescued, I sure wouldn't mind having that Action Comics #1 to fund my post-Island retirement!

Now that you mention it, Fanfie, I remember reading much of Peter David's Hulk run. I agree: It was excellent.

Always glad to find out someone else is a fan of PAD's Hulk run. I especially like when Dale Keown was drawing it, circa the late 360s through late 390s. By any chance, He Who, did you read any of PAD's Young Justice run?
